      It's not that complicated. The police have the lawful authority to detain you if they have reasonable grounds to do so. You are legally required to fully comply. If you try to fight back, it's a crime. What part of that are you struggling to understand? Do you think it shouldn't be a crime to resist lawful order? Should every criminal be allowed to fight back against the police during every arrest with zero consequences?

    • @lordgrindleton6595
      @lordgrindleton6595 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +44

      Yeah man, it really isn't that complicated..."If they have reasonable grounds to do so." That right there. No one should get charged for resisting arrest if the arrest itself was unlawful. You know who should get charged in each of these cases? The officers. The only time anyone should be charged with resisting arrest is if they resist and actually did commit a crime. Stop defending a broken legal system and cops who don't know their own ass from their elbow. These situations are the exact reasons people have issues with cops.. Should they not be held to the same standards as anyone else? F the police dude. Except for the 5% of policemen who are decent (and that's me being generous).

      @@lordgrindleton6595 Fighting an unlawful arrest is not made during arrest, it's made in court. In any job, when you are under threat (Ex. Robbery), you are asked to comply with the criminal. That also applies to criminals in uniform. It is human nature to seek freedom and emotions like fear can get us to act in unexpected ways, but we must try to maintain our cool when faced with such situations and act in our best interest.

    • @lordgrindleton6595
      @lordgrindleton6595 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      @@NasTwice Yes totally. Let us continue doing the same thing we've been doing that has gotten us to this point in the first place. Makes sense. Life is all about maintaining our cool and compliance as we consistently get F'd in the ass. So as long as we remain docile in the midst of tyranny we'll be fine and everything will be merry.
      We must always remain as logical as possible because our emotions are immature, invalid, and are rooted in deception.. We should only fight back through means that are already put into place. Yes, the same channels our tyrannical system has institutionalized, and graciously permitted us to use, are indeed the ones we should be fighting our battles through. Thank you for enlightening me on what our best interest is. It is without a doubt, this very opinion, that keeps our future looking so bright. Cheers!

      @@MishaThePolly_TherianI agree that they have no way of reading minds, but even AFTER figuring out who he was, they STILL were looking for reasons to charge him, and that’s the main problem. Unfortunately, people sometimes end up being at the wrong place at the wrong time, and misidentification happens, but it’s how it’s handled that is the issue here. He is under no legal obligation to give him his info, even though it could have made things easier for the cops. We do NOT have to help the police with their own investigations. I probably would have given my info just to make things go faster, but I understand why others don’t feel comfortable doing so, and they shouldn’t be retaliated against for that when it’s not even illegal.

    There's only 1 real question that needs answered...
    1. Is that the correct suspect?
    Everything that happened was a result of bad policing. Their failure to properly investigate to ensure they had the proper suspect is what caused an innocent man to be reasonably angry at being accused of a crime he did NOT commit. The actions taken by the officers excarcerbated the situation and they stole the man's freedom. Any person who steals another's freedom without justification should be jailed themselves. He was NOT required to I.D. himself, and that pissed them off, so they elevated their response and roughed him up.

We were at a hotel at the time. What makes it worse, is there were US Marshals looking for someone the last couple days and we were even talked to and voluntarily have id's. Back to the corporal, he handcuffed her and was extremely rough and demanded that she was this other chick. Numerous officers showed up and never said anything..... INCLUDING THE MARSHALS. He continued to yell at her to hold still (my wife has early onset Parkinson's) and tried to use the camera that identifies people. After that failed numerous times the officer continued to demand she was here. Finally someone higher than him showed balls and stopped it. It wasn't until that time that the marshals decided to say something. Made a formal complaint that went nowhere. Thanks La Mesa California PD. Cops are people as well, which means they can be the same way. Since everyone in the world come from different backgrounds, we all aren't wired the same way. On top of that, you never know what trauma someone has faced at the hands of people they were supposed to trust (i.e., parents, a family member, cops, etc). Therefore, each of us react differently in different circumstances. We say, "Dang! Just give them what the heck they're asking for, and everything will be just fine!" However, since the Constitution is the Constitution and the law is the law, police can't just choose when they want to follow the law or uphold the constitution. As the world is already hell, image what it would be like if "all we have to do is give ID", we'd be in an even worse mess. Lastly, it depends on th3 situation whether or not I would give my info if a cop detained me for on a suspicion

    20:44 they KNOW they did not get assaulted. That was some shady ass BS. One of the cops even said "I don't know if I got assaulted." Insinuating he thinks that was a far reach. That was shady. So so glad he just happened to be witnessed by nearby law firm employees

      The way they responded to the lawyer was so telling. The lawyer even said, i do not want that guy in our building. Well, that is criminal trespassing at that point, as that cop involved with the arrest had no business being there, as he was now a involved party in this drama. It frankly felt like witness intimidation at the point. But no, cops are immune to this. You can tell from the other cop, getting irritated with the lawyer for not being a good little sheep.
