Remember players/DMs: if you are streaming your D&D experience, and the DM starts to explain what’s going on after the break is done, PAY ATTENTION, no matter how many bit drops or subs arrive. It’s rude.
My Die Hard Dice also live in a treasure chest that I made myself. It's a vibrant blue with gold trim, smooth felt interior with googly eyes and teeth. I named it Mick Chompers.
It’s good when it works. Late game save DCs make it slowly worse and worse, which is ironically around the time where you’d typically want to use it. Unlike with typical damage spells, if you miss it it’s an entirely wasted turn and spell slot. Honestly, I’ve always found buffing my allies to be better than debuffing my enemies. Lasts longer and is more consistent.
Welcome to Pi's Nit-Picks where for personal reasons I go through new episodes of The Unexpectables and nit-pick it of any instance where how they play and RAW don't line up in a cinemasins-esque manner. Spoiler alert: because of how this works, I might have to go into spoiler territory but I'll try to be subtle about it. Disclaimer: I am not telling anyone how to play dungeons & dragons. It's their game, not mine. These are not criticisms, these are nit-picks. Yes I have heard of house rules, thanks for asking. Nit-Picks: 1:42:00 : Task should not have been able to cast slow on his turn as he had already cast a spell with a casting time of a bonus action, while I begrudgingly accept that Monty can homebrew an item that allows a character to cast a 3rd level spell with no action required it is still a spell he casts on his turn and is susceptible to the bonus action casting time rule. 1:44:48: Task should’ve had a +11 to his attack roll instead of +9, as his Archery fighting style applies to all ranged weapons. 1:44:49 : the enemy wouldn’t have taken the 6 piercing damage as the damage from Lightning Arrow replaces the weapon’s normal damage. 1:46:37 : Seika should’ve had disadvantage on all of his unarmed strikes as they aren’t one of the weapons that can be used underwater without disadvantage. 1:53:50 : Greckles’ attack should’ve automatically missed as he is attacking beyond a dagger’s normal range underwater. 2:05:12 : Task’s attack should’ve automatically missed as he is attacking beyond a dart’s normal range underwater. 2:05:30 : Task should’ve rolled Hunter’s mark and Colossus slayer twice each, as the critical hits would’ve applied to both of them. 2:15:10 : Mirror Image is not a concentration spell. 2:25:46 : Multiple creatures can have bardic inspiration from the same bard. 2:30:45 : The extra hit points regained by song of rest is actually only 1d8 at 10th level. 3:26:15 : To avoid a grapple you must make either an acrobatics or athletics check, not a Dexterity saving throw. 3:26:35 : I’m a bit confused on why his hand would go through Greckles’ disguise, I’d assume that he’d make it so that it fits around his actual body?
1:42:00 she said it's not him casting the spell but it's the fragment he has casting the spell on his turn like an NPC always holding their turn to cast on his word
It annoys me to no end when they keep going off of memory on what ability’s and spells do instead of actually looking and reading it from their character sheets. 70% of the time what they think a spell or ability does base off memory is wrong or off.
okay montie I have to say the whole milk thing with the former alcoholic Pilcherd is so very true, my dad went through that very thing and his new addiction to milk is something that hits so close to home, that I can believe in the narrative of the reformed alcoholic relationship is so true. Question was there an alcoholic in your family.
1:26:30 I’ve always heard it, but never pointed out that Gaijin makes this little moan sound when he hears something foreboding or unsettling

People always sleep on Faerie Fire but its so good. I empathize with Gaijin's rolls tonight.

1:44:49 it's also 4d8 on hit, with half as much if it misses. The 2d8 is for creatures within 10 feet.
