Das ist ja wohl das beste Fairytale, was wir je gehört haben, oder? JEdenfalls für Klassikfans ein einfaches Must-like.
Gesehen haben wir es bei den Facebookies, dann selbst rausgesucht und schließlich hochgeladen. Wer also mehr Infos darüber möchte, sollte einfach mal bei ihnen schauen. Beispielsweise, dass es der Freidens-Nobel-Preis war, den 2009 Barack Obama gewann.
Es ist der sound der Generalprobe, soweit wir wissen.
Leider passierte Alexander ein Missgeschick, er ließ seine Geige fallen, was den 2. Teil der Show stimmlos gut machte (haben wir dort gelesen) !

I went looking for an Epic Orchestral cover version of this song only to find out that no cover could compare, he blew them all out of the water preemptively with his own version. I just. You cannot get any better than this it's not physically possible. The full company of dancers, the background singers, the *orchestra my god that orchestra* , and the lone fiddler intro, slowly walking through playing as if he hasn't a care in the world..... I think I'm forever gonna regret that I wasn't in the live audience for this even though there was no physical way for me to be.

However, chorus is more happy here.. the last chorus was more sad than ever but the first two choruses had major chords here instead of minor chords like in the original.. So it's more happy here..

Old comment and late reply, but Fairytale was never a happy song lmao, just the melody of it (Blame the violin, if you could). You just need to interpret the lyrics and see this song is actually pretty sad.
I miss these types of songs in the Eurovision... Really like try comparing this to the ones now... Honestly this is like a thousands times better than the ones now. The performers now concentrate mainly on the display but this... this shows emotion, hard work and like seriously? He played the violin, excellently if I do say so myself... I really miss those days even if i was really young...

For anyone wondering it's incredibly hard to memorise notes on the violin and any other instoment that's why his face was very serious / nervous cause even if you mess up one note it puts everything off

actually this is the original version.. the one we heard on euro-vision had to be cut down to fit time restraints.

There is only Alexandar Rybak to be able to do a cover of himself so superbly. The new melodic harmonies are so à propos, the rythm is just right and the scenery rather special (though I do not really enjoy the dancers that much, it does bring a certain je ne sais quoi!) 🥰😁🖖

I really love this long violin solo in the beginning. pity that Eurovision songs can only be 3 min long at max in the competition. This version is indeed much more impressive and emotional.

This genius is a Singer, Songwriter, Composer, Arrgeur, brilliant Top Violinist (I know Anne-Sophie Mutter, Yehudi Menuhin, Nigel Kennedy and so on. But I don't need them. I have Alexander Rybak the Number 1 Music Artist. That's enough for me. This fantastic megasymathic Artist is a genius in so much areas of music is still so nice, so friendly, so humble and comes so wonderful around like the nice neighbour from n ext door. He so wonderful different compared with the other musicstars who are more or less arrogant and fully detached. I like the style of his clocthes. fully normal as any worker of a big factory.
And what a wonderful normal behavior. No star attitude like the other top stars. He don't needs this trash. He is a musical genius. This Fairytale arrangement is for me as good as every classical opera (no matter if you compare with Puccini, Verdi or someone else. His Piano playing is excelltent. Lang Lang is fantastic but not better. The style of Til Julie is so soft , so warm, so tender, so full emotions of deep love to the music and his wonderful woman.
And then this wonderful warm , strong and naturally voice. Tell me the name of the second singer worldwide who can sing so fantasic life and plays the same time the violin like Paganini? If there is a second I am happy, but know you won't find. :-D
The first time I saw and heard him in 2009 after winning the Norwegian Pre-Selection. I heard him 60 seconds: his voice , the melody, the rhthym ,, the power in all , his sensational life and this fantastic naturally smiel. I knowed at once he will win. The final in Moscow I surely looked, because I am a fan of the competion since 1971 as I saw it with my Granny the first time. From then I lived in music. Alexander Rybak and Daliah Lavi are the fixstars in my life: very talented, unbelievable versatile, fighting for her targets, working very hard and serious. Singing and performing sensational and both very unique in their style.
Music freaks all over the world. Mozart was never better. The only difference is he lived in a totally other time. If Alexander Rybak would have been born on January 27th, in 1756, he would be on the place Mozart has today. If Mozart would be born on May 13th, in 1986, no one would know him::::::: His life style...his personality... and so go

As a was 13 I dreamed to be a keyboarder in white clothes in a pop band on a stage. My life has gone a complete otther way, but all my dreams are still alive. I am stronger than ever. Alexanders Video for Leave me alone has a very personally meaning to me. Now I make real what I felt so long: Tell the world I'm here (Ulrik Munther Nr. 3 in Swedish Melodifestivalen February 2012. Was very angry at this evening ,cause this was my topfavorite. If I remember right he leaded after the phone call and the idiots of the jury took him down to place 3. I thought bought fools who have no real knowing about music.
Music is the main reason why I am still alive. If i would not have lived in music I would be dead since a long time. Now I fighted all through and I am totally hungry for new experiences.
For a ticket of Alecander Rybak I would pay 200 Euro with an earn of 1200 a month. My dream would be to be a music promotor to fight that real artists get the place they deserve. And the contacts the media (tv ,radion, newspaper, magazines, web, and so on would be a funny thing for me. I watch all very well since 46 years.
For this comment I needed a little less than two hours.. I ate nothing till I am at home. Its Friday evening and here is eight minutes to ten. I am such a music maniac that I forgot to eat. I don't felt hunger in the meantime. Every word I wrote is big joy and fun. And, even it is hard to come to the end LOL, one last thing I must say.
Til Julie and the Fairytale-Opera I heard since Tuesday 20 times each. And I every time I hear both masterpieces I love them more. Thank God a genius like Alexander Rybak makes such a sensational music. Music like this made for me life worth to go on with living.

The first time with Abba and Waterloo on April 6 , 1874 as they won in Brighton on my 16th birthday with 24 points for Sweden, Second, the lovely Gigliola Cinquetti with 218 points for Italy, Third. I see a star Mouth&Mac Neal for the Netherlands with 15 points , on fouth place Ireen Sheer , Bye bye I love you Luxemburg (Ralph Siegels first Eurovision -entry) and the lovely Olivia Newton-John with Long live love for the UK, both with 14 points and with three other titles on the last place : Die Sommermelodie , Cindy iund Bert for Germany with NO points, LOL. Oh my god, music can be so horrible.... But , let's think positive. The clothes were cool, both in green. My favorite color........
