- During the quarantine, we’re paying tribute to those who are on the frontline of the crisis. Tonight’s #HealthCareHero is emergency and trauma nurse TJ Riley from Jacobi Medical Center in The Bronx, NY who also had COVID-19. To thank him for his hard work and dedication, we surprised him with his favorite singer Dave Grohl who serenaded him with a performance of “Everlong," plus $10,000 and gift packages for every nurse in his department thanks to our friends at Life is Good. Crying my eyes out - so grateful for everyone on the front lines, in grocery stores, sanitation, take-out - seems like all the great people are so underpaid. Thank you Jimmy and Dave and all you celebrities - highly paid yet humble. My heart is full!
Jacobi Medical Center is such a big part of my life. I was born there, they saved my life twice, and I lost my mom there.

All the nurses doctors and essential workers are all heros thank God for those people they have a place in my heart! I appreciate all of your and keep up the great amazing works yous are the real reason this country is still standing! ❤️💜💙♥️ As a father of two I applaud all of yous! Brave amazing and strong 💪 are just some of the words that I feel like do yous some Justice... Just knowing yous are out there and yous have are backs makes things easier to deal with!

@@naomiarram5187 and home health workers, still running around the grocery stores, hospitals doctors offices, my husband is a trucker so we can't forget them, yeah it's insane my only frustration is watching my friends pull in twice what they normally make while sitting at home and im still pulling the same crappy 9 bucks an hour lol.
@@zzzroxyzzz Thank you to your husband, Jill. My sister is a mental health care therapist who talks to people who have survived CoVid, or who have family going through it right now. She is heartbroken every day for her patients and has to muffle her cries they can't hear her sniffling through the phone. Anyone who does ANYTHING at a hospital right now is an angel, along with all of our essential workers. I hope they can get through this, and I thank them every day from the bottom of my heart.

Im from other side (India) and yes, you can not imagine how much we look upto the USA. (Ofcourse, I'm devoted to my India). My country has its share of pain and Nonsense. But those are politically motivated to devastate. We are trying our best to handle it. We are blessed to have Modi as our PM.
But I find USA too is having its share of nonsense , from common people, protesting against Quarentine, constitutional rights. Cities like Las Vegas are opening up, This is no time for that.
Ofcourse Economy will take a hit. It's WAR. But if we are alive, we can build up our economy. No big deal. The most important thing now is to stand by each other, join our strengths and survive.

And most of all we are humans, conditionings are different for different cultures, but basic human values , i guess remains the same. Only at times , the conditioning gets so strong, that we loose that touch with our core, and our superficial differences take supreme position.
But, even sitting at other side of Globe, I feel that largely USA has a lot of Goodness , Empathy, and I admire your society most for the way it upholds the not-so-perfects (not in a way that harms others

I was 16 when Kurt died and I grew up with Nirvana and Foo Fighters. Both are not my fav bands, but Dave is my fav artist. Such a talented, down to earth, sweet humble guy he is. And his performances are always top notch. I remember back in 2003 for example the Lowlands festival. It took him like 6 seconds to completly blow up the tent and get 20.000 people go crazy. Dave, thank you so much for being the artist and person you are and I hope for all the fans and myself, to see you asap back on stage rocking! Love you man. edit: My son says, I can never ever call him a fanboy again :).
