Items for levels with this character is CRAZY. Not as much as you'd think for stats directly...but INSANE when, I mean, basically free items and EVERYTHING else like epic items.
I honestly think that choice brought the run closer to being balanced, TBH. A recruiter run is going to have all the level-up upgrades of a MUCH longer run than 20 waves since you don't lose previous upgrades when you spend your current levels. Later waves reward lots of XP and low levels are cheap, so switching to items at least means that you're kinda having to balance positive and negative traits, rather than the upgrade's positives-only.
David Draiman is the chap you are thinking of - singer of Disturbed. They have an epic version of "the sound of silence" too if that's your bag
I know I'm in the minority but I'm indifferent about the SoS cover. It's certainly good, but it doesn't do it for me. Love the first two disturbed albums, though. They're still on my regular playlist.

I think being able to disable characters would make sense to prevent game crashing cases or take out fluff for a build that’s strictly negative.
Anyways my idea for something to help engieering
Brand new parts: An Epic for turrets, limited 5 and just gives them an extra projectile(And makes additional landmines spawn)

Recruiter is broken, but it _can_ be fixed. The character power needs to be changed to grant the player 1 "special token" with each level up, and then charge a specific flat rate in "special tokens" for all additional characters. This will eliminate the re-levelling exploit that is the main reason that Recruiter breaks the game AND take care of the need for price inflation, as the inflation of subsequent level gains would still happen since you wouldn't be losing any levels after buying a new character for your run. I had originally thought about pricing characters based roughly on their tier, but giving specific characters specific prices would break random mod compatibility.
If the mod owner makes this specific change, Recruiter will become as indispensable as GMO and become a viable alternative to it. Right now, I'm pretty sure y'all are going to get bored of it in a couple weeks, max.

My Comment to make Recruiter Fun do A Challenge when you use Recruiter every wave 20 like 1-20 wave you are only allowed to get 3-4 Characters. When you do Endless video you add again 3-4 Characters so the game still would be Balance and Fun to get the Perfect Character to Combined with and (It would not crash as often bc less Character).
I realy want to see atleast some Recruiter Builds go to wave 40-60 Sad that it always Crash.
I think that's my plan going forward

To balance it out my idea is to not spend levels, but you can get the characters at higher levels since exp required is higher, and that way you don't get the extra bonuses of releveling and so on the so forth, like say 3 characters is fine for waves 1-20, endless will allow for more
Maybe just stop at 4 so it doesn't have the level gain spike

Hey there Jeff, i was wondering if you (or someone in the comment section) could help me. How can you run all the mods at the same time? Currently i've only gotten Extetonian, Flotato and Diversified working properly. Others like Elemento, Lazuli, Violent Asthetics won't let me start the game. I've read that it has something to do with a utility mod, the SignalAPi, so i try disabling and re-enabling it to get the game running. It works half the time, but alot of the character and it's of said mods will straight up not work.
I've had a similar problem before so I'll just list what I've done previously.
My first guess would be you are missing one of the mods required to get the others to work. So, first I would double check that.
If that doesn't work I would Uninstall all the mods and then reinstall them.
If that doesn't work I would reinstall brotato and then install the mods after.

@adalvarthepeaceful Need to find the save file location and copy it to somewhere else on your pc, then after reinstall if you lost progress, you would put that file back and overwrite
