People forget Liverpool were in the race right up until the last 5 games. From what have seen so far from Slot his system is more solid restricted their last friendly to 1 shot with the kids playing . His system is more dynamic than Klopp interchangeable midfield attacking zones etc its very sophisticated and if he gets it right with this squad. Make no mistake Liverpool could be dangerous 🤔

I've been watching some clips of the training sessions Slot is taking and it looks good very quick passing one and two touch football. I'm excited to see how he gets on. Even the game we lost 1-0 to Preston recently where we played a lot of kids you could see how quick he wants us to move the ball nobody dwelling on it for too long. I'm very optimistic about this season so hopefully we can get a few new players in before the transfer window closes.

Hey, I am a Liverpool fan and I don't know how this season will go so it doesn't surprise me that non-fans would think the same. I do think we have a good chance of qualifying for the CL and melding into a better side playing according to the philosophy of Slot. I'm curious and hopeful, but not certain of anything.

I hope you're right. I've had a good feeling about Slot ever since he was announced. There's a calmness about him. He looks like a man on a mission and knows exactly what he is doing, a silent assassin.

Just check how often Dutch people comment on videos about Arne and how positive we all are. There are basically no exceptions to that.
I guess we Dutchies all know for sure that Arne will do very well. Arne has’t been criticised a lot in the Netherlands for a reason. He has an excellent track record over the last five or six years. Dutch football fans -even if they’re from a rival team- seem to unanimously approve to Arnes social skills, his tactics and pragmatism. He’s been very consistent. Arne’s impact on Feyenoord is truly unmeasurable, but he managed to revamp a rusty old club that was struggling financially for over 35 years. Imagine what he could do at Liverpool, with so many possibilities compared to what Arne was used to at Feyenoord. Trust me, what you see is what you’ll get.
You’ll definitely become a fan too, rather sooner than later.

I don't necessarily put too much into what Curtis Jones said. Sure it's nice to hear, but he's not really going to be slagging off his new manager, so I take that with a grain of salt. But anyone who thinks Liverpool are just going to collapse I think are being a bit naive. Sure it's a transition going from Klopp to another manager, but it's not as if Klopp was fired and the team is in a bad state. They still have a great squad, and they wouldn't have brought Slot in if they didn't think he was a good manager. Sure it's a jump going from the Netherlands to the EPL, but it's always a jump for any manager and the management must've felt he could do it. So I'm a Liverpool fan and I'm extremely excited for the season. I don't think we're going to win the league but I think we'll get top 4.

I'm encouraged about the style of football. It should also result in fewer injuries, which could, in about 3-4 years land us a Premier League. That's about it. Man City have the Prem sawn up. Arsenal will be a big challenger next season. Real Madrid will keep racking up CLs. So, I'm excited ande happy with Slot but I still think we'll finish 3rd.

It's not enough to see the training drillings but the tactics. We are yet to see him put his legs in Jurgen klopp's big shoes.
He doesn't have long enough to work with the senior Pros, the kids will be fully on board with patterns of play, they've had a month to work with him, but they'll be on the Bench for Ipswich away.
Slott will inherit Klopps problem, not enough time between Games.
The Seniors will have to catch up, with only 20 days to go.

Mate you have an opinion, and it's a free country. As a Liverpool fan I have no problem with criticism as long as those who do get proven wrong admit that they are wrong. So far what I've seen of Arne Slot gives cautious optimism. He's not completely rebuilding the philosophy or structure of the club, just putting his own stamp on things. Slot seems confident and has a clear plan. Not once has he disrespected Klopp's achievements and neither have the players. I think the players appreciate that Slot is his own man and has some really good ideas of how to move the team forward without completely dismantling what Klopp has built.
As a fellow scouser..I'm pleased he not trying to rebuild the team in transfer..like most managers would..souness for example

Manu United and Chelsea are a great examples of what NOT to do in the transfer market. Spend big on hyped up players and end up finishing 8th and 6th. Slot will evolve what he's mostly already got in the squad and gradually build from that.
Liverpool not just signed Slot. Slot chose Liverpool for a reason. Slot's view on how to play football perfectly fits with the players Liverpool has right now. Liverpool has the same kind of players as Feyenoord, but most Liverpool players are better. He even does'nt need to buy new players. Only if he can find one who fits in his system and is better than one of the current players, he will ask Liverpool to buy that specific player. It may take 1 or 2 months, but then you'll see an excellent Liverpool team. I even dare to say, Liverpool can go for the title this new season!

@@tk24sports Honestly? I think he could. But Zubimendi is a very, very good player. Slot has the capability to make him even better. That's at the same time a small worry for me. I'm Dutch. And Slot has trained many players who are now part of the Dutch national team. He's renown of making players better. My greatest 'fear' is Slot seeing talent in the youth of Liverpool and making them the basis of a unbeatable English team in 6 to 8 years. 😉

Jones, Mac and Grav are players limited by Klop tactics. Bcus klop wanted the midfielders to progress the ball through the wings. This means they went wide and the winger came to the half space. Arne tactics is similar to Gau and Arte, the midfielders stay in the half and winger stay wide.
