Its always a pleasure to watch your videos....your mini lectures take me back to my undergraduate years ....a time when I thought I was absolutely fascinated by the science. Years later (now as a practicing geologist)....I still find the information exhilarating. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Faisal
I’m really enjoying this series. I intend to watch it through a few times as I work. It’s helping terms stick in my brain. Currently having a somewhat practical use for the information probably isn’t hurting either, I suppose. I’m not good at memorizing lists of phonemes that I don’t understand, so this is a good sign that you’re imparting some comprehension. Thanks!
If you don't mind me asking, what school are you going on field camp with and where are your main sites. I teach field camp and love hearing about others' programs.
It's the SDSMT Ranch A field camp, it's going to be mainly on describing/interpreting phanerozoic strata, tertiary igneous intrusions and proterozoic metamorphism structures in the Northern Black Hills. It's supposed to all be associated with Laramide orogeny, but I guess I'll find out!
AstralXRomance1 Just looked up the site. It looks beautiful. I have a slight bias that before going on field camp, you're a geology student. After field camp, you're a geologist. Have fun!
Mostly Colorado, but also Texas, Utah, Wyoming, South Dakota, Nevada, California, New York, West Virginia, Kentucky, and Iceland. I always have a camera with me when I travel.
Given its broad application, everyone should understand GEOLOGY - therefore this video has been indexed and a link added by DR-KNOW / iq-2k Information Services - roughly 650 videos have indexed for this series
Very nice video and work , very useful and educational, can u please make video for each type separately in details as it will be very nice if present for educational purposes. thanks in advance.

Finally, a readable and helpful diagram for the cross-section of an alluvial fan.
In a deep water environment, what is ‘upwards-thickening’ and what does it
indicate?

Great viewing- well done!
+Tim Spillane Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
About to start field camp in 2 weeks. These videos provide good review of the sedimentary stuff I'm weak in.

Add a chart so these terms can be visualized.
