Dear all. Thanks for commenting. I saw them in Oslo Spektrum and was blown away. They spent all their income from the concert on us, their fans (in advance, obviously), 4,5 mill NOK. I will urge you all to take the trip to Stockholm to honor them and get a once-in-a-lifetime experience. It's worth every penny. A spectacular show indeed. As for Quirentia and me, it's pure joy from start 'till end. Bård once said that if they (him and his brother) have fun in what they do, their product will improve and people will notice. That's our philosophy as well:)
Thank you so much for the English translation!!! I'm learning Norsk but if I think there will even be a little Swedish spoken by anyone I try not to listen because it makes me so confused. The other night the Ingmar Bergman movie "Wild Strawberries" was on television and I finally had to turn it off because the differences were making me crazy... PS: I love the pics you used. I know the younger women are crying over Bård's lost hair, but I think he's still as cute as a button even with a buzzcut.
Thank you! Then this interview must have been really confusing with this much Swedish and Norwegian (and English) mixed. I think they are so adorable when they speak Swedish, it touches my heart in a special way, but I understand if it must sound strange to others. As a Swede it makes me a bit sad that you are like "Oh, no this is Swedish, I can't listen to this, it makes me confused", but I do understand that the differences might be disturbing in your learning process. When your Norwegian improves and you feel more confident in your skills, then you will probable have a less difficult time with the Swedish, and be able to enjoy that too, and be able to focus on the similarities rather than the differences. It's really a bonus to get two languages for the price of one, in a way. I do miss Bård's hair, I must admit, but I totally agree with you that he's still cute as a button. And hot.
Oh no, don't be sad! I look forward to the day where I understand enough Norwegian that I can understand Swedish as well (especially as I have quite a few friends from Sweden; I am shamed they speak my language and I don't speak theirs)! I'm just not there quite yet! But life is long and I remain optimistic!
Must say, the buzzcut looks a lot better than the monk cut! Thanks for the upload and subs, as always! Guess we all know where you two will be on March 21!
Thanks! When you find something like this you have a feeling that you want to share it with everyone, and then it's so great that we can do that with some subtitling. I think most hair styles looks better than a monk cut, actually. Bård looks hot in this buzzcut, but at the same time I really want his hair to grow, don't want him to suddently be like "I like it this short, I might keep it this way, it saves me time in the morning not having to fix my hair" or something like that.
+kathykisslight Thanks! It's really great to have a collaboration like this, which makes it easy to work fast, and have fun at the same time. Or perhaps you meant that the subs themselves are very fast? Yes, but they speak very fast, and they are four people who sometimes are speaking at the same time, so then I have to choose between leaving a lot out (and I don't think the majority of the viewers want that) or have subs that shifts very fast and hope that people use the pause button if it's too fast.
I have too, but I'm getting more and more used to it and accepting it. I do want his hair to grow, I must admit, and long for a day sometime in the future, when we can see those cute curls of his again, but I do find him really hot no matter what. The extraordinary beauty of Bård is on the inside of that head, not on the outside.
Apparently, Vegard's Swedish wasn't this good a short while back. A Swede thought he sounded a skåning in an earlier interview he hosted on the Ylvis talk show. th-cam.com/video/yA0NNdM1GFA/w-d-xo.html
Vegard wasn't speaking Swedish with the "correspondent" (=tele sex worker) and he's just partly speaking Swedish here. That goes for both of them, even if Vegard uses more Swedish words here. I think they use a lot of different accents when they speak Swedish. As a Swede I sometimes hear "Stockholmska" (like in one of the IKEA-episodes) and sometimes "Värmländska" (like when he says "En konsert" and "olika" here). The reason they often might sound a bit like the Swedish dialect "skånska" or "småländska" is the pronouciation of "r" from their dialect "bergensk".

You two are excellent!

Thanks!
Wow!! It was so quick. Thank you Mona Lisa for the upload and subtitles :)
I can't thank you enough for the subtitles!:)
Thank you! We really enjoyed making this.

I'm having such a hard time realizing that Bård is really bald. I wish I could afford to be there on his birthday.

Quirentia
I have to agree. He's a funny man.
