In London he gave a half-day course on his straight line sales method. He said nothing about it, but he used the event to sell other things - including a course to teach his method. A fraud then, a fraud now.
The truth is you become better by being in the field, trying out different tricks. How many workshops did he attended? none.
I'm glad to see that he can actually see what damage he's done in the past and make efforts to change that. Not many people can do that and have the balls to write a book/ movie about it. I'm proud of you Mr.Belfort, keep the positive changes flowing.

Federal prosecutors made the allegation in court documents filed on October 11, which were obtained by Radar. Out of the court-rdered $110,362,993.87, the documents claim, “Belfort has paid a total of $11,629,143.64 toward the restitution judgment.” Despite an order to give up half of his gross income, the documents allege, “Mr. Belfort has taken the position that … he is no longer obligated to comply with the court-ordered payment plan.”
Following that deal, the government claims to have received $382,910 in 2007, $148,799.19 in 2008, and $170,000 in 2009. But then, they allege, Belfort decided he was done. (notice how the payments are decreasing). In 2010, the documents claim, he made absolutely no payments. But in 2011, “Belfort made payments totaling $21,000 toward the restitution judgment,” the papers claim, despite the fact that one of his companies took a tax deduction for a supposed $24,000 restitution payment. In 2012, the papers claim, Belfort paid $158,000 - well less than his reported income.
*2013, he has allegedly been paying $3,000 per month, despite “earnings from other sources, including, for example, speaking engagements” that net him upwards of $30,000 a pop*

Its really difficult for ppl to admit what shit they have done in the past and accepting all his shit from his past on air in front of a billion ppl probably, is what it takes to be successful.
I find Jordan Belfort's story fascinating. It's important for people to realise the reality of this guy though. He has made some terrible decisions, and (appears) to be trying to repent. Thousands, if not millions of criminals try to do the same thing. That is not to say he should be instantly forgiven. But the messages and words of wisdom he gives in interviews like this can hopefully be really taken on board.

Like I was more looking at people who have commit crimes, didn't care about it and pretend their sorry when really they don't care at all. If you worked on wall street and someone introduces to this little scam, and you make some money, ( an money changes everything and everyone ). I can see how easy it would be to get in over my head the way he did if I could pull a little scam here and there and made the kind of money he did. At least he is trying to make things right. He'll never be able to undo all the damage he's done, but at least he's trying. Can you say the same about the people you've hurt in your lifetime?
My guess you've probably never even tried to make things right with those you've wronged you probably just make excuses to justify hurting others in whatever way you have. That's what 99.9 % of most people do instead of at least trying to make things right. Now, I have said all I'm gonna say on this. I am NOT going to engage you in a never ending argument. ITIsFunnyDamnIT Yeah, everyone has hurt someone, but there's a HUGE difference between hurting people by accident and hurtiing people intentionally by doing certain things and knowing pretty well that their lives are gonna be destroyed by that!
Also behavior means NOTHING if the motive is wrong. You can't say he's really sorry just because he's trying to act right. Maybe he's just sorry he got caught and is now putting on a show. You can't exclude that.

Everyone on this planet has INTENTIONALLY hurt someone at some point or another. No one is totally innocent of that. Just because you may have never stolen from someone doesn't mean you didn't do or say something that really hurt them.
We all are guilty of doing intentional things that have hurt others, weather for our own self gain or whatever. Now he was also addicted to drugs and that lifestyle you don't have to be a rich wall street crook to steal from people for drugs or whatever.
May he who is without sin cast the first stone. Get off your high horse, and stop Judging someone, and ( what You THINK ) their motives are. Only time will tell that. Maybe he's still a wolf. Than again, maybe he's learned his lesson. Some criminals get out of jail / prison and learn their lesson and decide to straighten up. It's NOT mine or your place to JUDGE. You're NO saint. NO one is. It's not like he was a serial killer or pedophile.
Robbing people was wrong, and yes that destroys lives too. He got caught and he did his time, and seems to be trying to pay back people he stole from.
