it uses accelerometer data to know how phone or any device is held. so when it notice any kind of velocity it fetches data to processor to understand what's going on. a very good accelerometer will work and its significance will inversaly proportional to distance between earth and spacecraft or other outer space bodies. #AskNASA
Even maintaining muscles strength with that machine, which is not gravity at all, i suppose that cells keeps being in a in a microgravity state for themselves and not attracted anywhere, only muscles are exercised and strengthened.
Would a ShakeWeight be an effective exercise tool in microgravity? It seems like it is more of a resistance, mass and momentum based workout, rather than the usual gravity-resist of a traditional free weight.
