    I was in this crowd. We were chanting “let’s go jobber” to have a bit of fun at first, but after he kicked out of the code breaker, we were only chanting it because we legitimately didn’t know who he was, but we wanted to support him.
    A HUGE “you deserve it” chant broke out after this and there was a huge pop in my section of the crowd when someone yelled “he just got signed”.
    Unforgettable experience!

      What caught my attention is that every big move AA did, any near pin he did. The crowd was all in!
      The jump off the rope on the outside the ring, the crowd lost their collective minds!
      That truly impressed me. And I'm a wrestle watcher from the 80s. You need to do something flipping HUGE to impress me.

    If you saw Andretti's match with QT Marshall on Dark (Episode 165, go look it up), you knew this kid was special. I figured Jericho would let him shine in a loss, but to give him a 1-2-3 kid moment against an all time great... my word

    This is why Jericho is a titan of pro wrestling. He is not afraid to lose and put younger talent over. He always puts the business first over his ego, and this right here, even in a loss, just boosted his legacy further. And congrats to Action Andretti for making the most of this opportunity.

    Notice how Jericho did back to back shock moments not just with putting Action over but by tapping to Claudio's Swing of Honor also. Chris can just create magic whenever he feels like it, he really is a wizard.

      Jericho is in the rare position where he truly is a kingmaker; he can put whomever he wants over without any loss of heat. My only question is: why Action Andretti and why now? Is the AEW roster not bloated enough with way too many either not getting any TV time at all or relegated to six-man tags?

      They didn't make a star out of this but what they did do was put Action on people's radar to keep an eye out for. It's also a story blooming regarding Jericho, that's 2 losses in a row including the title lost to Claudio.

    Jericho's great. He gave AA a lot of offense and made the win look legit, not a fluke. He really shows what a locker room leader does, putting over someone the right way. Also it shows AEW is like a real sport, where there are upsets and teams have a 'bad game'. Way to go everyone.

      The real deal-sealer is that Jericho put Andretti over clean as a sheet, pinned after taking his finisher, rather than an attempt to cheat backfiring on him so he only defeated himself, or a surprise roll-up. Because Jericho knows he can take this loss without it damaging him.

    Y2J is The Guardian of Pro Wrestling, he literally created a star in Action, selling everything and possibly giving Action a dream moment. Chris literally understands the crowd like no other Wrestler, when Action kicked out of Codebreaker, Chris pushed him probably hinting him to stay down, letting the crowd continue to cheer and also selling his shocked reaction. A true Wrestling genius.

      Phase 1 of AEW is technically over.
      If you didn't notice, phase 1 was Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega and Hangman Page in the main event scene. Both Moxley and Jericho are no longer going to be world champions after this. Omega and Page, on the other hand, are in the top spots without the need for world title.

    I remember watching a Dark match with him and thinking, "Man, in a couple of years, we'll see this kid win some big ones, maybe even a title." I did not see this coming, and yet, it seems so AEW! The company and its stars are not afraid to elevate the young talent.

    Highlight of the night for me, I knew I had seen Action Andretti periodically on Dark, so when I saw that he was facing Jericho on Dynamite, I was oh Jericho is in action to squash another jobber, minutes later the match was not just a squash, Andretti got so much offense that I realized this was not just a talent enhancement match, Andretti was being given a solid shot and man what a moment it was for him to not only get the crowd behind him, but actually pin Jericho for the win, amazing moment for the fans to see, and certainly an amazing moment for Action Andretti. Best to luck to Andretti in AEW going forward! 👏🏽👏🏽

      This moment right here overshadowed even the main event, really. And often, that happens with AEW because they're always competing with each other.
      Another exciting development is Hook possibly teaming up with J Boy.

I was sitting in the camera area and my friends and I starting standing up to sing it.     Was at this dynamite on Wednesday night, that crowd was so much fun to be a part of. Probably the first time I’ve ever heard a “let’s go jobber” chants. The videos I’ve seen honestly don’t do the pop he got when he pinned Jericho any justice. It was insanely loud and literally everyone hopped to their feet. It was truly a crazy and special moment that was awesome to be a part of. It was so much fun the whole show, definitely one of the best dynamites I’ve seen

    This is genuinely brilliant. A feel-good moment. Fans in the 90s saw 1-2-3 Kid beating Razor Ramon. This has a similar feeling I imagine. Very unselfish of Jericho to put this kid over. No matter what happens to Mr. Andretti, he beat CHRIS JERICHO. Andretti's a permanent cult hero in professional wrestling going forward. I genuinely felt good when I watched this.

    I've been subscribed to MCW's TH-cam channel for a good while now (back when they were announced as the old ROH's development territory) and MCW is where I first saw the name Action Andretti. He's a world class talent. There's a lot of talented wrestlers currently in MCW & they've built a lot of stars in the past (Mickie James and Lita for starters). I'd suggest checking them out.
