I use the soap and water. I make bubbles on top. the adults can escape sometimes because they can swim so well, but have found they don't have a chance with the bubbles blocking them

A battery operated shop vac works great for controlling these, especially when they are in the nymph stage since they can't fly away.

Most of those bugs are attracted to light, So I hand one of those Dyna Traps that collect them. It's not a zapper it just collects then and they die from dehydration and hunger.

I planted long beans for the first time. Between my husband and our dogs they eat them all raw. Soon as I harvest them my husband bring out the ranch and my dogs beg while I’m picking them. I still haven’t had a chance to cook them. I have a bag I hid in the freezer so I can try cooking them. When I make green beans it’s usually a big pot with sausage and potatoes or smoked pork or turkey.

I have these this year on the tomatoes. I go out before full light in the morning (with a head light) and get them this way while the adults are not alert enough to fly away. I would much rather have tomato worms than all these rascals. My long beans have severe aphids!

Hello beautiful Grow fam!🖐 Great video and tip!👏 Yes, the bucket of sudsy water does work very well!👍 I do this to catch japanese beetles on my knockout roses and my rose of sharon bush. If I miss any on my rose of sharon bush, I let them be so they will not start attacking/eating my fruit tree leaves. My asian long beans are finally starting to produce; too small to harvest yet! Blessings to you and fam!💝

Would be very helpful if the base of the plants weren't surrounded by weeds.
