ONWA has been amplifying the voices of Indigenous women on issues that relate to our rights and self-determination, including advocating for human rights at the United Nations.
The Universal Periodic Review is a peer-review process of all 193 member states before the United Nations Human Rights Council. This is where the human rights record of all countries is reviewed by other United Nations Member States. Canada was reviewed during this cycle.
