Absolutely fantastic demonstrations: both are brilliant, a joy to learn from Jens. I've specifically purchased Faber-Castell materials to be able to do the exercises and I've already completed the Berliner Dom example in my Strathmore Toned Tan 118 gramm sketchnbook. Without hands-on experience, you cannot judge the versatility or usability of these brutally expensive markers. I always spray the final piece with hairspray and it looks (and smells) gorgeous.
thanks for having this - Jen has lot of great tips and uses such a variety of materials! It's great to have him in English!
What fascinates me is how his initial lines for placement and horizon aren’t really visible in the final sketch.
The video is very informative and very well done. I wanted to know which markers were actually used in the last drawing because in the attached description it seems that one is "watercolor" and the other is not. Thank you
Hi! You're right. The markers used in the last drawing are Pitt Artist Pen Dual Marker India ink :)
@@AboveGroundArtSuppliesToronto Thank you
I like the tea idea. Would very appropriate for India, Sri Lanka or China. Guinness would be good Ireland and coffee for Brazil.
Love this idea! A very nice touch to a travelling sketchbook.
