Before the AMAs I've never heard of BTS. I was so blown away by the song & their performance. Afterwards I immediately went on Twitter & what impressed me the most was their fans. They were answering questions and providing links to content in case someone wanted to get to know BTS better. Although I became an instant fan that night, it was ARMY that made me want to be part of the fandom. ARMY I purple you! 💜

At the 5:51 mark you asked “what’s on your mouth Jimin?” Well a lot of reactors don’t notice this since it’s a quick clip, but when they won that first award, while they were on stage during their acceptance speech, they started putting lipstick on eachother because of the whole “it’s like being a girl when they put on makeup” comment that was made in the interview you saw. So it was like they were telling their haters “ok so what if we wear makeup, we just won our first award” so when you see Jimin he has smeared lipstick on his mouth/face. I love that they did that. They always have ways to diss their haters
In the montage about their first concert where everything was black and white and y'all bout to cry those fans they sat with were ALL of their fans. They didn't have many fans back then but they tried their hardest to help the boys get through the tough times. The boys even know some of them by name cuz they've literally been helping feed and dress the boys when they had no money. That's why there's this special bond of gratitude between Army and BTS.

Actually will make a correction on that video, YES big hit was a very small company with only one previous artist which is Lee Hyun, who became part of Homme and is now solo under that label even today. BUT after their debut they were sent to LA to learn about Hip Hop culture, they did a show called Amercian Hustle life with the likes of Warren G etc. The very last episode they were given a mission, to promote a whole show themselves given a specific venue, they had to so the stage, advertisting and promotion all themselves. So that clip was about the boys handing out flyers to promote for that show. It was not connected to korea or their original debut.

BTS have been through so much. I’ve only been here (an army) since October 2017 but the hate I’ve seen them receive is nothing I’ve never seen before, it has been heartbreaking at many points. The kpop community hate them (I don’t see myself as liking kpop nor that bts are a part of that industry but rather Korean artists) and has done everything they can to bring them down since their debut.
Bts have worked so hard and they truly deserve everything they’ve got today, I’m thankful towards them the most and armys who’ve believed in them and continue to do so. Genuine artists, genuine humans, genuine intentions, genuine music. I’m So incredibly proud of them.

One of the things I love most about BTS is the love they have for us The first word that always comes out of their mouths every time they give an award speech is ARMY, if not the first word always in the first sentence. Keep in mind that the boys were trainees for a couple of years before they debuted in 2013. Also most groups would already have their first win within the first week they debut but when a group didn't get any wins they most likely would disband. BTS stayed together despite coming from a small unknown company from an industry that was being dominated by kpop's big 3(YG,SM,JYP). It's amazing how they managed to stay together. Just look at them now making history left & right, selling out stadiums, dominating world charts etc. 😭 they deserve everything 💜 also please react to Sea (Coded Color Lyrics) and Ddaeng & Ddaeng Explained & Karma is an army pt 1 & 2

re: getting their first win 2 years after debut. It doesn't seem that long of a time to westerners, I know. But, what you don't realize is that there are many, many music/award shows in Korea. This win was not a major award... it was on a small TV music show and it was a rookie award. Meanwhile, those idols from major companies were getting award within a few months of debut.
The big 3 entertainment companies (SM, YG and JYP) have ties to all the media outlets. They have reporters in their pockets. They make sure that their groups get top billing and are not above pulling dirty shenanigans to make that happen.
I could tell you stuff that happened in the past couple of years alone ... For example, when BTS won Top Social Artist at the American Music Awards, it wasn't even reported on in Korea for more than a week. It only came out because it was broadcast on shows in Japan and China. When a certain group was shut out of winning during their comeback this past spring because BTS was taking all the awards, Inkigayo (an award show) suddenly changed the rules so that BTS didn't qualify during a certain award week and the other group got the top award. So they're pulling that crap when BTS is successful... imagine what it was like when they were nobodies.

RM (aka Namjoon) was the first member of BTS from 2009-2013, they formed and predebuted as a hip hop group which is also rapping jungkook era that allot of fans really miss....it was later decided near official debut in 2013 by CEO to make them a kpop idol group instead which opened more doors for them to explore and combine other genres, themes and concepts! As you may find out there’s a interview scene with RM & Suga between lowlifes so called underground rapper B-Free along with other rappers that sat there DISSing and criticizing our boys for making the decision to leave the underground hiphop/rap scene to become better artists/rappers and most of all better persons, so they took the opportunity when they were scouted by bighit to audition. The others didn’t like it so they got jealous saying that RM & Suga betrayed hip hop / rap even they didn’t and calling it giving into “temptation” on top of calling them girls for wearing make up & fancy fashion changes...etc because those guys are probably still stuck in the underground going nowhere with their lives stuck in the era when hip hop and rap that were extreme macho cultures before their they started to be mixed with other genres in the 21st century. It still boils my blood every time i come across that interview!
RM & Jin are sometimes considered to be the Parents of the group since Namjoon is the Leader and Jin helps keep them well feed. *Highly recommend you listen or react to raplines mixtapes. Despite being part of a group artists also solo work on the side. South Korean talent label companies scout & recruit young people, some as young as 13 - 19+ (nowadays) so when they become qtrainees they have to be away from their families for long period of time to train for months to years before debuting as solo artist or predebuting in a group then continue practicing on top of building trust, close friendship/brotherhood or sisterhood with the members in the group to be able to get along with each other so they can be successful in the industry. RM & Suga’s helped J-Hope find his passion for rapping after joining BTS and overtime they all became a group of very close brothers (Strong Positive Brotherhood).
For Jimin, hes extremely sensitive and always hard on himself when he thinks he messed up on something b/c he’s a perfectionist even though fans try encouraging & comforting him saying it’s okay, he’s very passionate about Modern/Contemporary Dancing since he attended Art School. They’re all genuine angels that are spreading powerful positivity and love worldwide! Taehyung is has a very soulful voice and thoughtful personality, he was scouted by bighit after coming with a friend for support and became part of the dance line last year after 5+ years of training & practicing, proving to everyone that he deserves recognization as a dancer. JungKook maybe the youngest of the group looking up to his 6 older brothers since they basically raised him while they all lived together in a dorm and still share a dorm while they are away from their families. They’re very close to each other and takes good care of him like a baby even though he’s grown up now. In his younger years he started out rapping since they predebuted as a hip hop group first then later became a kpop idol group instead where he became the main vocalist, lead dancer, and subrapper. Over time he slowly did less rapping & more of the singing along with jimin, V, and jin. He never gave up rapping but he hadn’t rapped very often but now he’s been bringing back the old rapping part of him in their new albums. When the time comes for him to send off his brothers/groupmates to the military one by one he’ll be the remaining member to help keep their name & reputation alive while waiting for them to return. *Its required for all korean males ages 28+ to served at least 1 1/2 to 2 years of military service* some do decide to voluntarily enlist early to get it done and over through which if fine by fans even though it hurts us to see them go. Jungkook become a big brother mid of last year to Bighit’s 2nd boy group TXT [Tomorrow x Together] who debuted March 2019!

that first win is not really an award. In Korea they have music shows (i think 6 but not sure) that air once a week and each week they nominate contestants to win first place based on different criteria like sales but also votes and streams.... so that first win that took them 2 years, some groups get one with their first song!!! It is just to let you know how hard it started for them.
Also one who has been with BTS sense debut and having you guys react as passionately as you are to the BTS from nobodies to Legends makes me feel proud to be part of a fandom that puts so much effort into making a group of young boys dreams come true and I can't wait for you to react part 2 that videos is even more emotional and I cry every time in both videos

14:52 the clip is when BTS won song of the year in 2017 with Spring Day. That song is still charting on the Melon charts. It is a beloved song in S. Korea. You need to react to Spring Day explained. You can see how they are on a different level than any other kpop group. Spring Day is my favorite.
By the way this year is their berry first time attending in the VMA and they already won 4 awards in their first time attending, they also made a new record just at the start of September 2020, Jungkook's birthday, we ARMYs gave him the best birthday gift anybody can have, which is breaking the record being the first Korean boy band to get a number 1 in billboard hot 100, and they broke the record making Dynamite the most views in only 24 hours they got 101 million views.
