My auntie used to make something similar every Thanksgiving -- that was her turkey stuffing. I really miss the Thanksgiving meals from those years, and I haven't had this dish in such a long time. I hope to pull it off for Thanksgiving this year, though I'll be using an instant pot to see if I can retain the moisture more easily. Thank you for this video; it'll help get me started!
Reporting back: I did in fact pull it off.. This was the best turkey I've ever made, and the best turkey and stuffing I've had in recent memory. The flavors of my gravy were divine also. It had a wonderful delicate tea flavor. Thank you again!! I've never used lotus leaves before, so it's less intimidating now. :)

Wow looks really tasty. If I want to eat the glutinous rice without the chicken, should I just steam it until it is cooked after frying? Do i need to add additional water if steaming the rice without the chicken? Thanks.

Yes you can use banana leaves but maybe not foil. Alternatively you can just wrap it in the baking paper. Skip the lotus leaf altogether. Happy cooking!
Just made this today it’s a great dish however I baked it covered and wrapped for an hour at 356 then needed to bake it another hour and 15 min bc the chicken wasn’t fully cooked delayed dinner by an hour but otherwise the recipe is very good
