I like Mephisto x Iris even though I ship him with Auriana but yeah he and Talia have no romantic chemistry whatsoever so how do people ship them(I respect it tho I’m just confused).

To be fair, they never showed his body. And they showed his sister Praxina had the potential to be good when she had amnesia, they could do the same with Mephisto. Him hitting his head would be believable, considering the circumstances behind his disappearance.

And it's steak, which is also a food from Earth, so anyone from Earth would probably think it's just tweaked a bit or has some special spices, so I doubt it'd be that serious. No one is gonna call that out and be like 'oh she must be from a different planet'
