Oh Gawd No. Cannot believe that Paul has been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, I remember when Stephen Hawking was diagnosed at the age of 21, and also the comedy entertainer Ronnie Corbett also had MND as well. It is so extremely unfair now that Paul has now been told the distressing news of his medical condition he will have to confirm and tell and put Billy and his family in the picture. And I have heard that he is leaving the series and he will be missed when he goes.🙁😲💔
He certainly is a gifted actor. I have to say he did a really brilliant job with the child sex abuse storyline that his character was involved in back in Autumn 2019.

This storyline reminds me of my great uncle who died from MND. Effects there limbs and eventually you end up in a wheelchair then you can't talk clearly
It's more complicated than that but yes that's the basic level of understanding The neurons that send messages to the body slowly die off and because of that there's nothing to tell the body or limbs or muscles to do their job so muscles waste away, the breathing function slowly becomes impossible as does talking and other functions etc, eventually you need assistance with talking, bathing, eating, breathing etc until you eventually die
Poor Paul ,But I get so mad with people when Paul sort atack at the bus stop when people having sort attack’s sometimes it a very bad health reaction and not drunken on coronation street I just love mycorrhizal and Emmerdale sometimes health problems are hidden away like myself

Hmm - that would be manslaughter; Stephen drugs Carla leading to the accident that led to Paul's life threatening illness.
If they do this story justice and don't look for an excuse to kill him off within 12 months they could very well do a realistic portrayal of how MND slowly kills you Hollyoaks did this story years ago with Patrick Blake but instead of actually having the disease kill him off after a few years they just had him be murdered to suit other story lines

You do realise it is the job of doctors to inform patients of a possible diagnosis right? Even if it hasn't been confirmed doctors have a moral obligation to tell you how likely it is you have whatever condition they suspect

MND is an umbrella term technically, there's different types of MND such as ALS and PLS which are similar but different I.e ALS is always fatal while PLS usually is not but both are classified as MND
The hand injury is completely separate and has nothing to do with the MND, he would have ended up with MND regardless of his injury or not, the purpose of him being injured was to give him a reason to get investigated and eventually be diagnosed with MND, it's a plot direction nudge, nothing more

This is a sad storyline and MND is fatal. Most people get it in their 60s or 70s so it's rare for Paul to get it at his age. I hope it isn't MND.
