The shoulder rest fits perfectly in the compartement, no need to use it in that way. And you re putting the bow in the the wrong direction. I have the same case and its really good, for only for 120 dolars.
Hello Ariel. By putting the shoulder rest next to the scroll you keep more space free in the compartment for other staff. If you don't have to much to take with you you could also put the shoulder rest in the compartment as you do. I always put the bow with the frog towards the lower part (when the case is in the upright position) because in that way, if the case falls to the ground you don't risc to brake the tip of the bow.
@@maestrokimon Hello, how are you? The gewa system to grip the bow is designed to put the frog in the flexible part, and the toe in the movable lock, that way it is much better and its really safe. Try it that way. cheers!
You are from Holland! I saw the cows, I thought wow, your country looks a lot like mine :D And the you started talking about the rain in Holland :D With your greek accent I would have never guessed you were living here :)
It would be even funnier if you saw your own house the thought "this house looks pretty similar to mine!!!" If I can do something for you, just send me an e-mail: info@maestrokimon.com
Thank you very much for the review! I'm planning to buy this one. Since you showed that there is no lock for the shoulder rest, can you please tell me if a Wolf model can fit into the accessories area?
Hey - really quick question - what case do you have? I'm about to start bike commuting and definitely need a new case but am struggling to find on that is impact and puncture resistant enough whilst also being waterproof? Would love to know what you travel with or even what your top 5 are? My criteria so car is: - the case sits high enough that it wouldn't bump my rear bike rack, a way to clip the shoulder rest so it doesn't bump around in the case, (I don't need much storage space as I carry most things in another backpack which I would be taking as well) but would love if it was waterproof? If you can think of LITTERALLY any company that sells anything I would be incredibly appreciative!
How would you rate the crush resistance of this case? Think of the scenario where an male adult falls on top of the case with a significant fraction of his body weight.
I have the Brown version of this case. If a average 80kg man say... fell down the steps and ended up falling on the violin case. The violin probably will not survive, especially if he sat on the bottom part of the case which isn't arched. So Don't put a valuable violin in the case. The violin can take a few bangs and falls but certainly can't something like that. I can easily flex the case pushing down on it, and therefore I am selling mine since I'm carrying around an 18th century antique instrument. But for people who are on a budget, it's a great case Hope this helps :)
Cool to see a Gewa case review! If you're interested, I have a 1970s vintage Jaegar violin case by Gewa, and talked about it here: th-cam.com/video/kXB1ID-heP0/w-d-xo.html

I don't have the case anymore but if I remember well, the wolf shoulder rest fits in the compartment.

These cases are impossible to brake! Very goor quality. I hope to review a Jaegar case soon, we are in contact about it!
Crash Test Dummy! 😂😂😂
Musafia is better
I wouldn't say! Musafia cases may be better but also 3 times more expensive. For that money is this case a good case.
