      @youtoober2013 5 ปีที่แล้ว

Squirrels? Really? When have you ever had to escort a squirrel out of harms way? A baby rabbit... maybe.
Most mammals will run from a mower, even most rodents.
Frogs try to hide, like snakes, they stay perfectly still, then try to jump away last second into the blade.
I want someone to invent a device you can put on your lawn as a deterrent to all living things in the grass.
You would set it 15 mins ahead of time, have it on a schedule or make it remote activated.
Then when you arrive to start cutting all the animals have already dispersed.
Would be perfect for the entire agriculture business really.
It's actually the only thing I hate about my job, taking the life of innocent animals.
It's the only aversion I have in all of landscaping.
If I couldn't foresee taking the time to move animals out the way, I take the time to bury them responsibly.
I've even personally nursed some back to full health!
Being in our position you're really forced to weigh efficiency against simple decency.
In my opinion and personal reflection, I've found that it's more worth it to spend the time.

It was my most challenging job, even with the Ventrac. Had to mow it 5 times over to produce acceptable results, so I suggested to the customer that it should be mowed more often. After seeing the results, the customer asked if I thought he could just mow it himself with a standard riding mower.

Glenn Wyant well, if you can’t afford a ventrac or specialized equipment, a small stout tractor with fluid tires (for extra stability) would work. 4-wheel drive would be a good idea to look for. And if the tires can be moved out, I’d recommend to do so. If the areas are really steep, going up and down rather than across is good

I wish you would do before and after. Like when there's grass and all finished.

As a farmer who is stuck with one if these. I will say this. Their customer service is IMPECCABLE, they have stood behind their product 125%. However the equipment is junk..... constantly breaking, belts go all the time, soends more time being fixed then actually working. Our 40year old 650 with a brush hog and chains on the tires would handle that no problem.

Ventracs are Nice and all. Works Well too. I even tried one before. I just dont see myself Spending $20,000+ for one then $2,000+ for other tool attachments for it. Works for some Ppl, but not all.

really only cost-effective for someone that has a use for multiple attachments, not just a brush mower alone

The biggest problem with the finished project…..the owner will need to buy a ventrac to maintain the property now👍

Should have also used a power rake after the mowing to grade it

The Ventrac is Nice and all, I really Liked it, Had chance to try it out for little bit at a home and garden show couple months ago. Problem I have Just expensive. Too Expensive for me to get, but i still like them. perhaps one day years and years from now. they Might be cheap enough for me to get one.

How fast does the ventrac burn fuel when chopping brush?

Catapillar skid steer with the bush hog can’t beat it with a stick

Forestry head is a little more omnivorous when it comes to brush with stumps and rocks and other small obstructions.

Would've like to see the finished grade and yard, looked like a decent sided plot. $5k isn't too bad for a belt, some diesel, and about a half day labor.

Once took a leaf blower to a green (on golf course) with thousands of young frogs. Just barely hopping out of the adjacent pond. What a terrible thing to think some might just cut over them with the reel.

i didnt know what tree you were talking about, so i googled it... i have those fuckers all over my property! i thought it was weird when i pulled a large one up that a second tree next to it came uprooted too... now i know why.

I’ve been cutting them down at work for over a year some 80-100 foot tall you have to get them before they go to seed also known as ailanthus tree

Do they make a forestry mulcher for the ventrac? Do you think that would have been a better choice for this job if available?

Why couldn’t you just use the skid steer to scrape all of that up and get it down to the dirt? Will it not push those stumps out or was the hill too steep? I cleared a whole jungle of kudzu with one. Got it down to the dirt. I’m sure it grew back later but at the time it looked nice and clean.

I would think they would use a really heavy duty like CVT belt / like an ATV drive belt for the CVT system!🤬🤔
Loving the versatility of this machine maybe they will update that in the future!

Ventrac uses a common belt like other mtg use sheer bolts , it's cheap and simple replacement in minutes no need for more expensive solutions or even tools.
