Every now and then, I check for Maximum the Hormone reactions cause I LOVEEE seeing people become fans of this band. If you like songs that go hard, the two songs I have to recommend are "What's Up People" and "Yoshu Fukushu."
What's Up People served as the second opener to the anime death note, and is super... grungy? Idk how to even describe it. Lots of deep growls, screams, etc. Super hard stuff.
Yoshu Fukushu has a lot of switch ups to it, and starts with what can be described as a jump scare of a metal entrance. Song goes crazy hard, and I've heard the lyrics, which talk about standing up and fighting against an oppressive society, actually also tie back to the bullying that the lead vocalist endured when he was in school. This is personally my favorite song from them overall, but I'd say you could really check it all out. I discovered them when I was younger, but it wasn't until I got spotify that I was able to listen to everything they have to offer, since a lot of their stuff is hard to find on youtube. I HIGHLY recommend going on spotify and just playing their entire discography sometime, even off camera.

Boo ee-kee-kai-eh-su. Yeah, they throw tons of English in their songs, but Daisuke and Ryo spit so fast you can't understand anything anyway 🤣 I think my fave song off his album is "Black ¥ Power G-man Spy" Tha funk is strong with that one.

@@Altmetall666 There are no silent sounds in Japanese. I studied the language for two years. It's slightly devoiced in Kanto dialect, not silent.

Hey TRM 🤘. I love to follow your new love for MTH. It's quite like mine 5or 6 years ago when i discovered them. Pure awesomeness in every song, unbelievable. Do yourself a favour and get all the albums of them, all killer no filler. I was privileged to see them live last year here in europe. You can't escape their energy, the best live thing ever. If they are on your continent don't allow yourself to miss them. I don't recommend a specific song, they are all great, enjoy your ride 🤘🍻. And yes, the U is silent 😉

If you run the two words together then the translation makes sense in the context of the song Buiikikaesu means revive parts. I saw that in the song they run the two together so I checked it that way. But as two words it translates to- part area return. Just had a thought. Pau of The Warning gets lots of love for her ability to sing and play drums. As she should. But Nio is also damn good at it. She just doesn't get her props for it . IMO

Most of their lyrics are incomprehensible even in Japanese, and I don't really understand their meanings, but many of their strange words and neologisms have deep messages. What do you say when you listen to their songs? Just as we don't know if there is a singer or not, it is also impossible for us Japanese people to hear what they are singing. However, on the other hand, it proves that everyone in the world can relate to their songs in the same way, and that they are valued not for their superficial lyrics but for the power of their music itself and their comical characters. In addition, their songs have entered the Japanese mainstream, and if they are released, they will be tied up with companies, movies, TV commercials, etc., and will rank high on the charts.

This is late. But yes they speak english in some songs. For that matter their first album "A.S.A Crew" is completely sung in english, although their accents make them very hard to understand.

Also, I'd like to point out that their Current Bassist, and guitarist weren't in the band at the time. They didn't join until after their first album, and their first EP released.

I know this is an old video but Bu is a Japanese prefix to emphasise a word, its also rude like we would say "fuckin great". Ikkikaesu means "life return" or reincarnation. The meaning in this song is that if you die im fuckin dragging you back to life.
The pronunciation is Bu (boo) ikki (icky) kaesu (kai eh ss)

Great review! By the way, there is also a great alternate version of the music video for this song where the zombie appears from under a manhole and behaves in a messed up way, throwing cigarettes into a stroller and eating bills 🤣.
And after watching the reaction video, I have a new recommendation for you: NEMOPHILA's cover of MTH's "SHIMI". I guarantee you will see the same great smiles on their faces as you did on "ZETSUBOU BILLY" in your previous reaction! Take care!🇯🇵👍

Actually, they write lyrics in English at first, then convert sound of English to Japanese. For example, ”Tsume, Tsume, Tsume". It is the title of their song, and it is sung in the song as well. Original lyrics is "To me, to me, to me", but it sounds "Tsume, Tsume, Tsume".
That is why Japanese lyrics has no meaning.
