Looks fantastic hats off to the designers! Buttons and toggles are not dead! I hope audio manufacturers realise this as we go into the future….turning a dial with great resistance and build is just great 👍
@@jgoge123 I still really like them. They are great as a standalone speaker, but we have ours set up as a stereo pair. The ease of use as well as pairing to Tidal make them a good budget set up. I can't understand why some TH-camrs don't rate them higher, but IMO you cant go wrong with them.
@@WargodFilms That's a really good question which I have had to think about. The JBL app does have an EQ whereby you can set the levels to your liking. I have mine set with a bias to providing a slightly bass heavy sound, but I would say they are not very bassy.
You should know that when plugged in, the 300 is even more powerful for sound. The Tufton does not go as deep for bass. If volume is what you want, it is clear which is the winner.
Danny, quick, important question. How much louder is the Authentics 300 when you plug in compared to the volume on battery? I want to buy it this ASAP but I heard the volume gets a significant cut when it's not plugged in Thanks💯
9:17 ich würde sagen das der tufton mehr höhen hat wo durch er lauter wirkt . Allerdings man sieht das der JBL die Kamera zum wackeln bringt und trotzdem 3 DB lauter ist was der tufton nicht schafft
I sent my 300 back to JBL. The bass frequency was awful. No matter the location in the room, no matter the surface it was sitting on, the speaker smart adjustment to surroundings would made it sound awful. I then tried adjust the equalizer and had to turn the bass all the way down and that just defined the purpose. Thankfully there is 30 days return policy. Would not recommend this speaker.
The difference is incredible when you plug the 300 in, gets much louder and more full. I’ve been testing it myself. Would love to see that compared to the Tufton plugged in.

Danny, you have the same addiction to speakers that I do. I'm glad you can share it with us.
I bought the 300 today and it's a great speaker.
Hi @TrevorDodd-ev1sx what are your comments after a few months with the JBL Authentics 300? I'm thinking of buying it next week. Thanks!

@@TrevorDodd-ev1sx what’s your take on the bass I’m looking for something bass heavy so I’m torn between this or the jbl encore

I was waiting for this comparison. I just got the tufton and boom this comes out 😅
You made a good choice! Just some extra features on the JBL that make more sense for some.
Between 300 and stanmore III which you think is better in terms of sound quality and bass? Thanks a lot
Looks good. Waiting for the detailed review + comparison with marshall and jbl xtreme/boombox
Hi I think that jbl authentics 300 will play better when it is in ac mode, plus jbl has wifi which is great but affects the price

Absolutely
Marshall will always be a win for me. Plus, they are just gorgeous.
Payrolled?😂
Crappy, it isn't even a company.
imho, the Marshall came thru MUCH clearer and louder than the JBL.
Nice spyderco ... and nice one-handed unboxing skills!!
Excellent eye
Hi Danny! Big fan of your reviews and videos. All the best from Mèxico.
Hola! Thanks for watching

he forgot to cover that
The new update makes it louder while off ac. When plugged in this thing gets 20% volume boost if its not more
Judging from your marshall speaker collection, i already know what the jbl is up to.
I put sound quality before loudness. Save a little and get the Jbl 500. Then you have both. Good sound quality with plenty of loudness.
Danny, when you test the JBL authentics 500 be sure to test the Dolby atmos, cause I want to know how good it sounds
Beautiful style
Which one got more bass....can you say
More room shaking bass i mean??❤
JBL. I have tried both.
But you only get maximum effect when plugged in.

i tried it and i would say its + 2-3 db on ac
@@hanspeter455 thanks for the clarification, the fact Danny approved means it's actually been confirmed. Just been a lot of confusion going on
@@hanspeter455its about 4DB louder on mains so that was misleading ☹️

Will you review the 500
Yes its coming soon
Also u should pick up the 500 next
Yes it is not loud but the authentics 500 is the king

I've read a guy saying that it sounded better when it's plugged, I don't know if it's true or not...
Yeah ill be checking that out

Jbl authentics design well the cover anyway is based on the jbl L series
JbLA300 is cheaper than Marshall Tufton. Here in manila
maybe marshall is designed for not a portable that is why that has a better sound than jbl
Marshall sounded more clear.
damn this video is so caotic
Not worth a review. Doa
