Just recieved the 300 and im very impressed. Love the design. I think in future versions a more metal knobs dials would be awesome but i appreciate the lighting plastic ones for now. Love its Alexa and Google combo.
Sorry, we don't carry Bose so we haven't tested that. However, if we had to guess, we usually always think JBL sounds better than most other products in its price class.
I just recently purchased the 300. I went ahead and connected it. I messed around with the bass and treble to ny liking on the jbl one app. I went back to the app and noticed the settings had moved back to the factory settings. As i was adjusting the Bluetooth cut out. I tried to connect back to Bluetooth and it would not connect so i had unpair. Well as i was scanning for the device, it absolutely couldn't pair. I kept doing it until it finally paired. Ive never had this problem with any other device that used Bluetooth. So i don't know if this is an issue with version. I've owned the 200 and it never did this
JBL taking some risks in a crowded category. I am sure they tested and tested vs other options to convince themselves to leap. Resulting in a better sound.
There are certainly better speakers around. JBL is not a very good speaker brand anymore, unfortunately. In this case, it’s better to do a comparison between the different types and brands available imo.
I also disagree, I used to think the same way, but now, I have a lot of their products because they sound very good and keep making products for every case scenario; car, headphones, earbuds, portable speakers, big party speakers, cinema, professional, and marine. They have just about everything you need to have great sound!
It is a normal app and behaves that way, you need WiFi for it to work. If you are talking about an external battery power supply, you would be better off with some of the JBL rechargeable speakers. Those allow you to have something more portable.

Thanks for sharing!
Woah… those are some freaking nice looking Bluetooth speakers. I love the classic and timeless looks.
Glad you like them!
500 in stereo?@@AudioAdvice
I have several Chromecast capable speakers around my home. Great way to create a whole house system. These look nice.
It sure would be, thanks for watching
Classic look!! These are awesome.
Glad you like them!
Can 2 500s be paired for true stereo ?
Sorry. No. Thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvicei think they can now 🙂
I love the new retro/ upscale look. It would look at home in my family room or bedroom.
Same here!
Will the JBL WiFi work using my router as a hub? Can I use an aux power supply, and lose the AC cord?
We answered your question already.
Can you play via wifi with just the app media players?
Battery powered streaming speakers are getting REALLY good!
These are the best of the best. Highly reccomended.
Yes they are ! Thanks
Hi i bought 2 of the 200's for record player BUT can i connect both to Bluetooth and play audio ,? At the moment i cant is it able?
It is not possible to use two. Some of the other JBL Bluetooth speakers allow you to pair them up, but not these to our knowledge or their manual.
Can anyone tell me whether the JBL Authentics 500 can also be an alternative to a TV soundbar?
It would be tough, it only has a single analog audio input. Most TV's no longer have an analog out. Thanks for watching
I love that vintage look!
We do to!
Great comparison!
Thanks!
Can i connect this to a tv or perhaps to an internet radio device which has its own speakers? Thanks!!
You would need a TV with an analog audio out, which is rare. They all have a single analog audio input. No to the second question. Thanks for watching
@@AudioAdvice many thanks for your answer. So basically the only usage of this is to connect with another bluetooth device i.e. phone or a computer?
@@ivannagy9668 yes, that is the category it is in
How does the Bose Soundlink Max compare to the JBL Authentics 300 ???

Sorry you are having trouble. It sounds like there is a problem with your unit. You should reach out to the dealer you purchased it from.
If you have two of the portable 300s, will the app let you run them as left and right channels?
Great question, and the answer is yes, using the JBL One app. They call it speaker grouping but it does create a stereo pair.
I like the retro look.
Thanks!
How all comparison videos should be like with just enough information and specs required to make an informed choice with no waffle !
Thank you so much. We really appreciate it.
❤🔥 JBL🔥❤
Thanks!
The 200 does not come with battery.😢
Makes it non-portable.😢
Thats the only disappointment with the 200 one
A 500 size one with battery power would have ideal
Yes, that would have been nice
It would be heavy af
I hope the quality is better than that of the Charge & Flip JBL offerings.
Those units are all about being super small with decent sound, these are in another league altogether!
They still have not fixed the bug in the party mode which has delay and broken sound it's almost 2025

Yes, these will be serious contender's.
I think Samsung owns JBL now.
They do but so far they have totally left them alone. Thanks for watching
Retro looking grilles
Yes, pretty cool!

We would disagree on that, they still have a huge team of engineers in California and make some of the best speakers out there.

Yeh u definitely lost ur mind.. n u don’t no what ur talking about
Perhaps they are on their way back, but I prefer other brands, like Revel and Dynaudio.
@jos5067 go find one with a handle so you can sit outside
