@@freighttrainjoe I suspect the steering wheel isn’t dirty but rather the finish is worn off in spots making it appear dirty when it’s just a mixture of raw and finished surfaces. Note that the ‘clean’ spots are nearest the wheel itself so are handled more often.
Without boats, trucks and trains and planes, and farms the world would halt in an instant. I wish the consumer thought of the logistics but most people do not. Keep up the great work to provide daily bread.

You have amazing amounts of patience. Many, including other truckers, would be do dumb stuff in anger and make things much worse. Your 'rescue' works out and is a payback for when or if you need to be simiarly rescued. I hope the transmission problem with the other guys truck is a quick and reasonable cost fix.

I don't really get the appeal of the super stretches honestly. You might get a bit of a smoother ride, but now you have the turning circle of the moon and you've made already-tight loading docks even tighter, or physically impossible. I'd draw the line for modifications where it starts to interfere with doing your job, which is why you have the truck in the first place unless its a pure show truck.
I totally agree. In 2014 and 15, I had to run reefer to a packing plant in Compton California. Thier docks were designed in the 80s when trailers were 45 feet and most tractors were COE. I fought for 20 minutes with the conventional Pete and 53' trailer. I would've gave my left nut to drive a cabover that day

Another load that I would not need a trailer to haul,Pintle hooks are very handy!
First off, the tire's on that feed mixer are not highway tire's, and will put a lot of wear on those tires being hauled that many miles??? are You going to pay for the wear and tear on those tires??? I am sure the farm equipment dealer, or the farmer that purchase's the mixer would be pissed about tire's being worn on a brand new piece of machinery.... If allowed is one thing,,,,, but otherwise you haul it. Period

Peterbilt always had the best looking trucks...my personal favorite is the 379/389 with the flat top and straight stacks

If you don't think being a flexible reliable dependable driver for your company isn't a big deal, my clients I have really appreciate that I'm flexible and dependable and can work anytime of the year if need be and my clients really appreciate the amount of dedication I have to owning my business and also making sure I can keep myself fed no matter what it takes. You're right about gasoline versus diesel. Diesel helped rebuild all of this country along with making sure we have full pantries and fridges. The thing I don't understand is why America is not grasping the reality of how much money you spend just trying to keep your truck running and be lucky you're not in California where you could be paying double the 1020 you put into Orwell.

Unbelievable fuel is that high. The world has turned its back on its people. Big corporations rule, little guys pay. That’s you and me folks. Isn’t that the way in trucking, makes plans, now pull out new plan. Everything changes so much never mind from day to day but from hour to hour. Another great video FSC, real trucking, the good the bad and then there’s Polka time. Orwell is sure doing a good job for ya. Would you like some fries with all that salt. Pennsylvania fuel tax is .78 cpg you either buy it to cover the miles or pay a lot on the quarterly ifta
You swapped trailers at the Houston PA exit. I'm 20 minutes from that exit.
Looks like $5 worth of foam and .95 cents worth of fuel!

Hey, Pennsylvania has to keep all the politicians happy, you know, the ones that gave themselves a raise several years ago at 2:00 in the morning. Most of them I would guess are lawyers and you know about lawyers, second week of law school, they are taught how to take money from people.
