"The person you want when you're dying isn't the same as the person you want when you're living."
What a thought provoking line.
And it makes absolutely no sense to me.
I think it highlights the difference between how he and Wilson think
Or maybe Wilson was attracted to narcissistic personalities, and he was a good supply to them, like House himself.
@@d.mononoke2039but house on the contrary is different, he may be a jerk or so called narcissists as what you describe him but he will never take advantage of Wilson and then leave. Yes he had a terrible addiction that let him lash out but he got help in the end and Wilson helped him afterwards with the company and House truly appreciates Wilson as well
@@ev14lyn maybe 🤔
Anyone else cried when House told him how he felt.
Omg I absolutely LOVED Wilson's smile when house showed up, it's so heart warming ❤❤❤
Wilson ate a fried chicken bucket and experienced an aneurysm. That is lore now
His blood-chicken content was too high lmao
No it isnt
You're supposed to paint the fence not chew on paint brush
love the little Monty Python call out with the room 12a joke...(Argument Clinic)
Oh Hugh… don’t think I didn’t catch that Monty Python Argument Clinic reference! A nod to your roots, we love to see it
"I'm not here for an argument." "no, that's in room 12A." nod to Monty Python I believe. 😁
6:30 love the Monty Python reference (look up their argument sketch and pay attention to the room it happens in)
the person you want when you're dying isn't the same as the person you want when you're living
He said that to Wilson the person who eat with House,Live with House , And the only person Wilson wanted to be with when he was dying. really is poetic Wilson wanted House in both ways at his side 🥺
@@PriyankaChatterjee32 He was donating a lobe of his kidney. to a patient
@@PriyankaChatterjee32 He was donating a part of his liver to his patient. A healthy liver can regrow itself.
i was not expecting house to be the one to say that line
Now that was brother hood right there, I love these two House and Wilson,
Wilson is a great guy... I mean if I was at his position I would never risk my life and give my liver to a smoke addict friend who damaged his own liver due to his chain smoking ...
He's too nice. He gave too much of himself for a selfish fake friend who used him for his liver.
2:26 That's the most house thing I've seen, eating f'ing lunch in a morg 🤣
One of the best shows ever. Cant change my mind.
"They're all dying. They're all your friends." -having worked in the healthcare field I've seen many doctors give up so much for 'friends'. I think it's such an insightful line they threw in. You have to have care for your patients of course, but you also have to remember to separate yourself from the job.
House saying 'No, that's room 12-A' regarding the argument is a reference to the Argument Sketch by Monty Python. Pretty clever.~
@6:58 "why😢?"
8:12 I almost cry
This was when we first see house as a human, my man was Sheldon cooper without the phobias
I think the first Time was when he was in the bus accident. In his mind he said to Amber: "I don't want to feel miserable anymore, here It doesn't hurt (His leg), i want to stay here" or something like that. And Amber: "Well, you can't have everything you want"
I hate that no one is pointing out how horrible your comparison is.
No it wasn't
Not the first but def always good when house lets down the wall
a 12-year-old House can probably read people better than Sheldon cooper ever can
6:32 The smoothest, most subversive Monty Python reference ever.
Wilson gives and gives and not just to house he gave his liver to this dude and not on is the ex wife who you want when your dying not living but also Wilson. I don't even think the organ recipient realized how incredibly cold that was to say it wasn't even about the wife he only wanted Wilson when he was dying he considered him a friend but he wasn't not like house. he ditch Wilson. Who could have said my ex wife knows me better but I am moving on with my girlfriend but he didn't. This so so beautiful to pare with the very last episode.
You should get that brain aneurysm checked at my dude.
"He ate 10 bags of popcorn per day"
The worst part is that's not even unrealistic. Having watched enough Chubbyemu, that definitely happens often in hospitals, getting patients with ridiculous diets.
Man he is a good friend 😢😢
That “actually is james” moment at the end, wilson is too nice of a person to come out with his disapproval, and that i feel is more him thinking that he made the wrong choice as his friend is not worth it
I hate people like that. The ones who need you but don't want you. Probably why I never want to get married. The thought of dedicating decades of your life to someone, only to have them throw you away like a used tissue for a hot young thing is nauseating. I'd rather die alone.
That's incredibly rare. You might as well be scared of driving or being shanked
Sounds like you are afraid of a narcissist. Real fear.
@@wowalamoiz9489Divorce rate is at like 50%, no it's not xD
@@toolatetothestory First of all, that's data from the 1970s. These days it's more along 25%.
Second, the vast majority of those divorces happen within years. It is rare for a marriage to last decades and then people to fall out of love.
@@wowalamoiz9489Even 25% is anything but rare.
And years are a long time still. Especially since people usually marry after already having had a relationship for years.
House and Wilsons friendship is everything
house cares for wilson so much more than he lets on
except that house openly admits that he needs wilson.
Always wake up at 3am... just did and this came up as suggested 🤔
The relationship between House and Wilson IS the show.
I half thought he was gonna say, no, it’s a 12 gauge
“That’s room 12a” - lovely reference to Monty Python
The House Wilson bond.
Because if you die. I am alone.= I love you brother
Its kinda cool seeing wilson with the team working a case without house
I always wonder what happened after he faked his death and ran away with Wilson
He might have stayed around to kill 13 when the time came, or he might have committed suicide.
Wilson was not a burden on house, Wilson kept him sane. Without Wilson, the decision is kinda obvious.
@@TheCornucopiaProject-bd5jk House is an INTJ personality. I think he found another Wilson. Not the same, but a type of 'Wilson'. No one can replace his friend, but I think House would have searched for another friend that was worthy to be his next 'Wilson'.
They got married heheh
6:32 Dunno if anyone else has said this, but 12A is a reference to the Argument sketch from Monty Python
Man I teared up
I thought Wilson will be taken off the case since he’s too close to the patient
It's a TV show. They can't really be bothered with realism.
@@kathrynhoward4196 Ik that but in real life he would be taken off the case since his feelings would be clouding his judgement
@@Shadow_wo1f05 I know.
He's head of Oncology and the only person in his department it seems. Who is going to take him off the case? XD
Only Cuddy would have the authority to do that given his position.
How he said it; House doesn't want to be there because he doesn't want to witness Wilson dying in front of him, if the surgery fails.
Or that's how I assume it.
I think House has Aspergers and medicine is his superpower. Aspies are more comfortable with being cold and analytic than emotional. We can also withhold affection to make a point that we are disapproving. House loves Wilson but sees his compassion as a weakness.
Enjoyed the comments about "actually it's James"
Ehhh looking back at it...nothing was wrong with House....he was just a jaded adult tired of the bullshyt😄...can relate
You might want to rewatch it, there’s definitely a lot wrong with him, aside from just the grumpiness
House MD has one of the best soundtracks ever on a TV series. We were treated to some stellar tracks over the years...
8:16 when you’re about to die and the angels come to take you to the afterlife
House is just keeping it real, because if all the doctors have a heart of gold like Wilson, they'd all be torn to pieces with every patient needing their very important and limited body parts. House told Wilson it harshly so he could realize his mistake, and Wilson did realize his mistake after the surgery was done. Not saying having a kind heart is bad, it's just that most people are only your friends when they need something.
Depending on your source, this may also be S06E09 as some use the aired order (E09) and others use the blu-ray/DVD order (E10).
Give an Emmy to that crash cart
I’d like you to be there… no, because if you die I’ll be alone.. 🥺🖤
6:31 Excelent Monty Python Reference
Im saving my organs for my children or brother not a friend.
choosing A.A. Bondy's "a slow parade" literally was the best choice ever for this scene
I wish everyone find love like this
Those 2 are real spiritual friends, friendship has give and take too! they spent Wilson’s last 5 months living life to the fullest, have u not seen that movie!
saw this episode not too long ago
was amazing
