@@allenliu8820 The EMBT was not intended to be commissioned from the outset. The project has simply aroused growing interest. The main objective of the EMBT is to create joint work within KNDS to ensure synergy in the MGCS program. As for the KF51, there's nothing really interesting about it - it's just a platform to sell Rheinmetall's 130s, which didn't liked being pushed to the side by KNDS. Rheinmetall is now threatening the entire MGCS programme by breaking stability. The MGCS is not only a MBT, it's more than just a platform, it's a global ground program including the new generation MBT.
This looks like an evolution of the Leclerc. Nothing to do with a new project! My idea is that in future armies the complete integration of all means, light, medium and heavy, with the various defensive and offensive systems (missiles, drones, etc.), will be of vital importance. And the survival of the soldiers who have to fight, live and suffer in an eventual global war will be of vital importance. So for now I think passive and active protection of new MBTs is still the priority. As priority will be increasingly sophisticated weaponry that guarantees first-shot kills at ever-increasing distances and high reaction speeds.
It's a completely new chassis, based on the Leopard 2. The engine, the tracks and the transmission are all german. Most of it's protective elements are Israeli. It only looks like a leclerc to an amateur as the turret closely resembles the leclerc.
I thought tank design had FINALLY done away with all those extra turrets and extra weight. Those things are just shot traps and weak points in the armor. Most of the video shows a different turret without all that junk.
shoot traps havent beena thing since the development of sabot ammunition. and i they are mounted on top of the turret so not really a weakpoint armor wise as an extra turret on ww1 and pre ww2 tanks used to be. I think they are very necessary to combat drones and slow moving rockets espetially the 30mm on the roof. Propably also usefull in the more and more infantry and city based combat we see today.
The other tank you saw on the video is the beta-version - literally a Leo2 Chassis with a Leclerc turret. And I personnaly like the idea of getting extra situational awareness with an unmanned turret instead of a man outside behind its machinegun. Plus the 30mm turret with fragmentation AA ammo is vital against drones. Loitering drones would be destroyed before reaching the tank
No offense but this tank might be obsolete even before it enters service. Well, look at Doom Turtle Russian Edition, they maybe crude field modification but it was for some good reasons, and it could reshape any future service MBTs. The 4th gen MBT, the T-14 Armata is very short lived, and we might have a chance to see 5th gen MBTs very soon.
Was nützt dieser Panzer ohne aktives Schutzsystem? What good is this tank without an active protection system? Only the AKKOR (active protection system) system designed for the Turks' Altay 2 tank works super smoothly.
@tomendruweit9386 what's been happening in Ukraine and the beautiful angled Israel tank For horizontal attacks to deflect blown up by drones all new tanks need maybe remote 50bmp anti aircraft drone gun and top armour
Future Tanks will be smaller faster one man crews or like drones remotely controlled smaller caliber half automatic gun and capable to drive 150 km but you will have 30 000 of them…this is how I would do them
120 ain't going to cut it. Need that new Rheinmetall RH-130 L51 smoothbore to blow those Russian asses to smithereens. For now I'd put my money on the KF51 Panther.

@@wifi_soldier5076 Yeah thats because the 140 mm only has a slithly advantage and isnt really better then the 130 mm. Meanwhile the 130mm makes more sense since it Safes space, weight and you can carry more.

@@hugoduigou7703 actually yes the french 140mm is heavier and also a lot bigger. Also the shells need a lot of space, so you cant carry that much and you need an autoloader, meanwhile the 130mm has autoloader too but can also be hand loaded, while the 140mm ammo would be too heavy to carry for a human. And only 20% more firepower isnt really an argument against all the other facts... The germans also made a 140mm back in the 80s on an Leopard 2 prototype wich was a LOT better then the 120mm. The hull to me looks like an upgraded leclerc hull which is designed by nexter, which made me believe that KMW was not very involved during the design phase because they could had easily used the same hull on the leopard 2 which KMW produces, but they chose not to.
I also believed Rheinmetall to be part of the project because I read a while back there were talks about merging both companies and only recently I found out that it fell through.
@@allenliu8820 "KMW was not very involved during the design phase because they could had easily used the same hull on the leopard 2 which KMW produces, but they chose not to. "
Guy... that's literally what they did in the first version of the EMBT... Nothing more than a Leo 2 hull and a Leclerc turret... (Also the hull is still derived from the Leo2... nothing from the Leclerc)
So yes, KMW or (KMW from KNDS) is very involved in the project with Nexter from KNDS because this project serves as a cement for KNDS so that Nexter and KMW work together on their strong point.
@@hermes6910 I do not know about the first version of the EMBT and like I said I am looking at the tank aesthetically and most of it was just speculations. Either way, chances are this tank is not going to be in service any time soon/ Hopefully we will see both nations look into the EMBT and the KF 51 for their NGCS program, but we'll see how this goes.

Viele wiederholte Szenen, ich hätte Video schneiden helfen müssen! ;-)
@@kneegrow4656 ITS a leopard2 chassis evolution AND a Leclerc turret evolution. Its 2in1
German build things really good and in good quality.
I thought tank design had FINALLY done away with all those extra turrets and extra weight. Those things are just shot traps and weak points in the armor. Most of the video shows a different turret without all that junk.
not really, all these turrets add 360 degree awareness, it really isn't that much of a problem
shoot traps havent beena thing since the development of sabot ammunition. and i they are mounted on top of the turret so not really a weakpoint armor wise as an extra turret on ww1 and pre ww2 tanks used to be.
It Could Probably Shoot Down A UAV...
설계도 넘겨줘 우리가 반값으로 만들어 줄게.
Still way too heavy. They’re not utilizing cutting or next gen tech for Armour
they likley are and using that wheight for other stuff. wetsern tanks are often very heavy due to doktrine
So are they going to enter this machine in the 'Miss Tank of the World' beauty pageant, or send it to Ukraine where it can do some good?
No offense but this tank might be obsolete even before it enters service. Well, look at Doom Turtle Russian Edition, they maybe crude field modification but it was for some good reasons, and it could reshape any future service MBTs. The 4th gen MBT, the T-14 Armata is very short lived, and we might have a chance to see 5th gen MBTs very soon.
Was nützt dieser Panzer ohne aktives Schutzsystem?
What good is this tank without an active protection system?
Only the AKKOR (active protection system) system designed for the Turks' Altay 2 tank works super smoothly.
Trop lourd , trop lent...Un truc Allemand...
Very weird looking turret setup is this ment to be a main battle tank
its new tahst for sure, maybe a bit like the leclerc. i do preffer the Panther turret though.
An upgrade will likely come in the next version. There have already been two versions on the embt 2017 and 2022. The problem is they can't decide between the RH-130 L51 or the French GIAT 140mm.
@@wifi_soldier5076 Yeah thats because the 140 mm only has a slithly advantage and isnt really better then the 130 mm. Meanwhile the 130mm makes more sense since it Safes space, weight and you can carry more.
@@Future183 in reality the 140mm is not much heavier and is not really bulkier than the 130mm it is quite similar. In addition, superior firepower could be useful if new armor technologies were invented on the tank of enemy countries.
The germans could easily make 140mm gun superior to the 130mm and french 140mm but the 130mm is more practical and has more advantages.
@@Future183 Atm both french 130mm and 140mm are better than german that's why they only do the hull. The Leclerc main problem was this one and a lack of armor but tbh France don't use MBT alone like dumb RU/USA, they use it with a lot of drones and covered with artillery
Que lo envíen a Ucrania allá los rusos le harán un test bien riguroso.
Only 140-mm gun, only
The turret going to stop a lot of rounds. All these new tanks are basic copy's if each other. They come with the same bells and whistles they just name them different things
The only part I like is the rear facing 7.62 now that's going back to the old tanks. What's old is knew
So, we going to give this to the Russians as well.
i want to be a tank crewman in one of thoose, too bad i am getting old and i am not european UnU
Oh yes to be honest that does look awesome that looks now makes me want to buy this over the Russian models😂😂😂😂 oh yeah I mean I would buy this over damn freaking Ferrari or better than the Bugatti or Tesla
No matter what it has, if you can't remote control the tank, and it needs 4 man crew, then it's not the future. I don't see any top armor innovations either.
Kind of similar to the Object 477 don't ya think?
Ready by 2041 when it will become obsolete!
you said its provided with TROPHY , same as Merkava in Gaza !!

Looks like Armata T14 from Russia
Look ive never seen as many new design that goes mo were choose 1 build 300 hundred for each nato country in there country stop messing around and same with IFV my goodness halfwits running defence.
This is the one that's supposed to be built for everyone. Basically every major European country has expressed interest in this program. It's like the F-35 of tanks.
All fine and dandy but when the Russian move into the Baltic states we gonna need more of today tanks (that France and Germany are not producing anymore) not some fancy toys.
Seems after nerfing the t14 the Meta shifting towards more usefull Tanks like KF51 Panther , Abrams 1.5, the embt and the kt2 black panther. But the embt looks a bit weaker, maybe more for expierenced players, players who like the Challenge of being confronted by a technical malefunction during combat. In my opinion its the weakest s tier tank. A victim of its time. After t14 aramata dominated the Meta for a long time, the developer became bored with new tank Designs, and did just reskined the t14, put a smaller tower on the main Tower, ading some optics. Increased stats increased costs. not very gold efficient. While being almost a copy of the t14 armata, patchnotes hit the embt really hard. Not a really good meta pick right now. Low B tier after being nerfed. Players who dont want to grind up for a new tank and would like to wait and see how the meta evolves, they should check out the new drone operator class added in the newest patch. We will see us on the battlefield. gl and hf
Is this an april fools joke
No its not.

Looks like it would stop functioning if it was peppered with autocannon fire. It has a whole damn basement dweller's entire battlestation was taped to the front of the thing. It can have all the awesome future tech you want, if they instantly get broken then what is it worth? Gonna send it back for repairs every time one of its 20 sensors breaks down?
Too many shot traps. 😢
Oh god, its even uglier than the Leclerc.
You're the first person I see finding anything ugly about the Leclerc. But I guess bad taste has to exist too. 😄
@@deckdeckard5297 everything France makes is ugly bud. That's not bad taste. That's a literal fact.
@@godofhate4167 Tss tss... Don't make yourself even more stupid than you already are... By nature, ugliness and beauty are definitely NOT facts, they are emotions, depending on people's tastes. On the other hand, for example, you being the first person I see who finds anything ugly about the Leclerc IS a fact. Among the numerous comments I've read about the Leclerc from non-French people under various videos, I've never read one, except yours, saying that the Leclerc is ugly. Of course, since I am very far from having read all the existing comments from non-French people about the Leclerc, it doesn't prove that you're the only one saying that, and you're most probably not the only one. BUT it certainly means that very few non-French people say the Leclerc is ugly. 😉
Let me guess: you think the Challenger 2 looks better than the Leclerc and the Eurofighter Typhoon looks better than the Dassault Rafale, right? 😂
And _"everything France makes is ugly"_ is one of the most laughable statements I've ever read or heard. I guess this is the reason why France is, and has been for many years, the most visited country in the world (and before you try this one, no, foreign people coming to visit France definitely don't come only for its natural landscapes)... 😂🤣 And it must also be because _"everything France makes is ugly"_ that France is so successful in the luxury goods industry, among others, with the French group LVMH being the world number 1 in this industry. As for the military industry, France is just the 2nd (yes, second) biggest arms exporter for the five years period 2019-2023 (FAR behind the USA, of course, but, in descending order, ahead of Russia, China, Germany, Italy, the United-Kingdom and Spain) (source: Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI))...
I don't know which country you are from, but I hope the people in your country are not all as clueless as you are. I suggest you ease up on Battlefield 5 or other video games and get a bit of a life and education. 😙
Looks already obsolete. Scrap and come up with more modern design.
