... amazing. I just recently discovered her. My tastes typically run towards the 'extreme' metal stuff, but this is heavier than most of that, in a very real, tangible way.
Found this song two days ago, been on repeat... been listening to Emma for the past two weeks, and I feel like I just walked out of a cave. Seriously what have I been listening to before this? Tremendous amount of connection and feeling on everything I've listened to so far. But this song, man it just hits the spot!
You picked one hell of a great first listen. And a rarity. That man with the amazingly deep gorgeous voice is not in her band really. He is a guest here because he recorded the original with her. Evan Patterson.
Christopher Hobson i only know Jaye Jayle, his “main” band, as far as i’m aware. And another project called Young Widows. Wouldnt be surprised he has more.
@@GhANeC ah gotcha. I know of Jaye Jayle. I was hoping for a nice list of bands lol. Havent heard of Young Widows. Ill definitely be checking them out.
@@Updog89 does the sound effect and engeneering will be more when compared to kexp.... Or is it better than kexp.... I think kexp is not bad in those aspects..... For me it's a good one.....
@@HONORTONUMERIC123 in general KEXP is excellent, they really are top notch audio engineering. But for this particular artist I think Audiotree did a better job capturing her vocals. There is also a really excellent Highway Holidays session of hers.
This is the most natural performance Ive ever witnessed. Theyre not even playing the instruments. Its all just happening like a wave in the ocean.
Its very weird (in a good way) it just floats, like they arent really playing ..
It’s kinda sad they’re not together anymore….they made such beautiful music together 😌🖤
I love how they both smile at 4:07 - 4:09 ; hadn't noticed until now, and this is easily my 800th view lol
Youre right
Great moment
Epic! You can tell they're both vibing. This song has a serious connection to something else!
I think it's because she goes a little bit out of tune singing "with you my love" and they both find it funny lol

Same! I just started listening to her as well. Just last month. And also an extreme metal head.
Every member of this band is a really dynamic player, love her band!!
Not all great bands are on KEXP, but all bands on KEXP are great. Thanks!
Very well put. I love this!

I Just woke up to find this today is gonna be a great day
Top tier performance, and my god the audio quality is ASTRONOMIC. Never change KEXP.
What a wonderful beautiful sound... great playing, such great vocals... I just love this!
Top . J adore 😊
How have I not heard of her ? This is fantastic !

LOVE THIS SO MUCH
THANK YOU
wow, just absolutely wow
Sucha a precious performance
👍🏻 Great sound and great band!
Damn. Another gem on this channel. Thnx!
This is incredible. Form the mix, performance. Passion. Mind blown
Damn this is gorgeous
Buckets of sweet reverb! Yea.
so cool
Wow i love this
Her voice sounds like for me like Tori Amos in a dark rock band ☺️
She’s really bringing back that raw emotion from the 90’s. I’ve missed this so much.
She'll be opening for 'MONO' this evening at The Rebel Lounge - Phoenix, AZ (2nd June 2019)
My god yesterday was a great evening in Vienna! Thx ERR!! 🖤🖤🖤
Amazing
Love
🖤 it !
Best Track in decay !
High level!
HEARTEYES
Guest is fkng evan patterson and his hauntingly deep gorgeous voice in the hoooouse
Her husband! This is a love song she wrote for him.
@@Updog89 not her husband anymore. things fall apart. I wish her the best.
Love me a song that could either be about God or a lover - both interpretations equally correct.
Beautiful analogy 🙏💜
@@kristennoelle9447 The baptism imagery is pretty vivid.
Jaye Jayle.....yum!
So underrated :(
Yup.... Copy that...
a woman in her steam and dew - the level of gorgeous here is not safe to the heart at all
intensi
Her sound is at once ancient and modern. Much like Chelsea, Thom, Billy, and Polly she presses down on human emotion until it breaks.
We can barely hear her singing sometimes.. the mix is not good. Which is surprising for KEXP. And i'm hearing this in a quite good set of headphones.
Agree. Emma’s voice creates the sound. Bunch of overrated dudes that want their sound heard more. Just saying.
Nice and raunchy and complexed beauty voice I'm hooked
This fucking rips
Just BIG and LUSH...
Richard Dreyfus
A rare miss for ERR and KEXP - the album version is amazing. The sound here is too muddy to really appreciate what's happening in this song.
This mix is bad
Very uncharacteristic for kexp, but I agree! Her audiotree session is better.
