For me in singapore there's no driver put anouccement every stop but sometimes they put like "please take your belongings unattended, if you see any suspicious article, report it to our bus captain"
@@WLTransport I think its like 99.99% of people understand this, and even most of those that don't still won't sue, but it's those like few hundred people that would try that make us have to have useless announcements like this. Having to play this one thing is definitely worth it (in the government's/company's eyes) if it means avoiding a lawsuit. To people with malicious intent to look for a lawsuit to file wherever they go, this announcement could also act as a kind of warning to them.
Nah that’s not automated - drivers play that announcement and I think the driver on the 326 bus route you were on just chose to play it for the sake of it.
lmao this kind of reminds me of when TfL added that automated announcement that said ''please hold on, the bus is about to move'' every stop. To be honest it doesn't really bother me but it just makes me question WHY?
I have no idea myself, but I think it has to do with the fact that people Sue people for looking at them wrong. It's your own responsibility for your own safety on a bus. The driver is there to drive you, not keep an eye out on you, but people get injured from ignoring simple things.

This happens in Hounslow and felt ham too much aswell
my guess is too many idiots not holding on and falling and the driver doesn't want to be in a lawsuit
I agree with you but I think it should be common sense to hold on to the handrail.

@@irvinsandison Buses have CCTV so if you fall, and not hold the handrail, you don't really have a claim.
@@WLTransport While true... lots of people lack it

@ probably
Could you please stop being an idiot so I don't have to be reminded every stop to hold onto the handrails! I'm tired of knowing what to do!
