You should rub candle wax all over the shoes so when it rains the the paint will not come off and so nothing will spill and stain it.It will slide right off the shoes and they won't be ruined
This is absolutely perfect. I want to do this to white converse which they are more yellowish than white anymore. I never thought of sharpies but I think I would have more control with sharpies and alcohol over paint

your alcohol is going to evaporate if u leave it open for hrs. close the top everyone or put a little in a cup to use the dropper with. #nowaste #upcycle

I painted my converse galaxy I got car oil all over my white converse(mechanic class) anyways and so I died them with rit the powder in that box thing i bleached my converse the oil would not come out so I just dyed them guess the oil and the dye mixed and turned the dye a really dark purple/dark blue and dyed the rubber but anyways I then painted the who shoe black and then waited for that to dry and then painted them with light blue,dark blue, black,white,dark purple to make the galaxy they turned out amazing for my first time painting shoes and doing anything galaxy XD now to decided if I should do black or white shoe strings lol

To stop Sharpie from getting on the rim bit at the bottom, put tape around it (or any other part you want to cover).

if u get solid beeswax and rub it on the shoe that will make it waterproof

you should put the alchohol on last, that way you won't have to wait for it to dry and start on a different side.

The shoes didn't come out quite how I wanted, but the silver sharpie works well on shoes (at least for me).
I made them with a few different colour combinations and it turned out. It looked so much like a galaxy. Thx for the tutorial
