Take the Ap test tomorrow. Of all the frqs I found this one to be the most challenging for me but that helped so much and now I feel good about it! Thank you
hi! this is very helpful and i've been binging your videos in preparation for the precalc exam :) its a new course so there aren't many videos online but this clarified everything! thank you!! I'm way more confident, you're awesome
When you were going into the stat functions to figure out the equations, is there a regression for logarithms along with exponentials and linear regressions?
16:54 In B Part ii you got an answer of 114.5 But if the context of the problem meant the units could only be whole numbers (e.g. apples sold) then would the answer be 114.5 apples sold or would you round it to make it 115 apples sold?
If it was something like apples or people i think they accept rounding to the nearest whole number. My teacher showed us a frq problem lile that and the answer key accepted two whole numbers (which in this case would be 114 or 115) even tho the real answer is 114.5
Hey I had a question regarding ap stats. If put the wrong alternative hypothesis but do the test correct based on that hypothesis will I still get a 3/4? I put 1 tailed instead of 2 tailed.
For A part ii, I was told that you should leave the b value in the unrounded format to find a, so instead of using 1.815, I was told to use sqrt of (56/17) as the b value. So which method should you do?
Can we just do a regression for question one part two or do we need to show that work. Obviously explain the regression but that seems easier in my opinion
No, the answer will be wrong if you try using regression. The A only is correct if the equation is exponential, but if you plug in log, it'll be wrong.
i have a question for part A (ii) could you have just plug the points into the stats button on the calculator and have it find a and b for you or does the exam require you to show your work on how you used the equations to find a and b (sorry if this is confusing)

you don't understand how much of a help you are. thank you so much!!
Happy to help!
you have helped so much stress thanks king
Happy to help. Good luck on the exam!
bruhhh you just clarified so much for me.
Happy to help!!
Thank you so much for these videos!! It’s so hard finding stuff for ap precalculus :( your videos are so clear and helpful!!
At 10:19 do you need to simplify all the equations in part 1 of a?
Thank you for these vids!!! Your the best out there
Glad you like them! Thanks for the compliment!!!!

Yes should be lnreg. But it’s in form a+blnx. So if the model they give you isn’t exactly that it won’t work
@@mporinchak Thank you! I noticed but was very confused why it was natural logarithm and no base 10 logarithm
On Part A how do you show your work using the calulater stat function, do you just write I used my calulater and here is A, B and C.
If I were you, I would just use the other methods and check your answers with the stat function.

@@angeliccat374 Thank you and these videos were a lifesaver for the FRQs
Thanks man
will you be releasing solved versions of the ap stat released frq for 2024
Yep possibly tomorrow. Or next week for sure
So ur saying that I am able to do part ii with calculator? For quadratic, exponential, logarithmic
Yes
Hey I had a question regarding ap stats. If put the wrong alternative hypothesis but do the test correct based on that hypothesis will I still get a 3/4? I put 1 tailed instead of 2 tailed.
You should still be able to get a lot of points as long as everything is correct with that mistake. You might even still get a 4.
@@mporinchak also, what is the minimum percent needed for a 4 overall?
@@agustya8889 I think 50% is the cutoff for a 4

I think it's a lot easier to just do 56/17 = r^2

@@jasonnobuta9111I think on the Ti-84 there isn’t an option for a logarithmic regression. Only ln

Yes you can do that as far as I know.
@@mporinchak okay thank you for letting me know!
how do you know for sure tho, your videos are very helpful but are they better to watch than the ones on college board, how accurate is it
I think they are pretty accurate. I have seen so many practice exams I have a good sense of what’s coming. Let know after the exam how accurate I was
the audio is a bit weird.
Used a new mic. Might not use again
