For ornaments in my family my sister and I would get a new one each year. I can remember my mom searching every year to find one that reflected our personalities at the time, and make sure they were unique while never repeating. Now that we’re older it’s nice to have our own ornaments and memories with each one.
It makes me so happy that you put special ornaments on your tree! I also love that you decorate with your whole family. I’ve been seeing so many decorate with mes but the mamas decorate the tree all by themselves. Decorating the tree when I was a child was one of my favorite memories!
Sweet Amy - I was just thinking what a great mama you are. You are teaching your daughter what kind of mama to be and your son what kind of mama to choose for his kids. Not just in the fun memories you make but in passing along your faith to them.
We go every year to a pottery place and do an ornament every year. Its so fun and fun to see over the years how their skills improve. We write the year on the back of each. Its a great Christmas bonding time. We started years ago with our best friends doing it together. GJ was so sweet “I break ornaments too” so cute!! Putting our Christmas stuff up this weekend!
I had to laugh at Chance going down the stairs. That is SO like me and my husband. He is always in danger of falling on things I have laying around. lol Also, I have a similar picture where I am screaming on Santa's lap and my sister is smiling. lol I guess that's typical for most childhoods. Love all your decor!!!!!!!! Great job!!!

We get our ornaments from different places every year. They aren’t always personalized but maybe something that commemorates an important event like a house when we moved. This year we got a personalized wood carved ornament from Bed Bath and a Beyond and it’s beautiful.

I love that you do family ornaments, everyone these days wants to do a themed tree and not do family ornaments, which themed trees are pretty too! But now that I’m 26, seeing my mom still put ornaments I made on her tree still, brings back so many memories growing up. Love your decor and channel!

I got that exact beanbag cover last year bc of your video!! One of my best purchases bc it storing stuffed animals and acts as a beanbag chair. I love walking in their room and not seeing stuffed animals everywhere!!

As for breaking ornaments, I probably have, but a few years back my cats knocked over my tree and some ornaments broke! Now I tie the tree to a hook in the wall. 🤣 Life is never dull with cats!

Oreo Balls! I’m sure there’s a ton of recipes on Pinterest, but you basically finely crush Oreos and mix them with cream cheese, roll them into balls, and then dip them in melted chocolate!

Every year I get the ‘Our Family’ ornament from Hallmark and put our family Christmas picture in it. I love looking at all the old pictures when I put the ornaments on the tree.

Our family tradition is a German one. We hide a pickle ornament on the tree every year,whichever child finds it,gets a extra gift. We have so much doing this every Christmas eve. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!!!!
