@TRD604 I'm not completely sure but if it's different, it should still be easy to know which wire is which. It should be 3 wires at maximum. One ground, One Positive, and One signal. The positive is used in USA for PARKING/CORNER lights that ALWAYS stay on when the headlights are on.
Installed mine last night. Tutorial was perfect. Was a little nervous abot first, but it was a lot easier than i expected. By the way, the EK looks dope in the new video. I'm jealous of the red recaros and of the takatas.... Clean hatch.
Just came back to tell you thanks for the motivation. Cutting in to the fenders is daunting. I recommend using a decent Dremel not the 10$ ones. It will make it extremely easy if you know how to use it. If not I recommend a friend to help you cut. Just make sure you go smaller than the template.

@NguyenEmpir3 I got it on ebay. The brand is DEPO. They are exact REPLICAS of the EK9 sidemarkers. Make sure you buy one with the wire harness and bulb included too. If you want the REAL AUTHENTIC EK9 SIDEMARKERS, you can also find it on ebay but the price is a lot more expensive and it's the STANLEY brand.
There are several corner lights that looks exactly identical except the model numbers are different. I think the higher the number, the stronger the light will be. You can find these bulbs at like auto stores or Walmart.
You can do that. I think it's better if it's on the car though because you can see how it aligns with the car when the car is sitting up on the ground.

One question is when you mark 127mm from the moulding up and 140mm across. Is the x you drill eventualy the intersection of those two lines or is that just where the tape intersects (diff measurement)
@ChangMasterSupreme OMG. LOL. That's what the lines on the templates are for with the measurements. u print it out and u measure with a ruler to see if it really is as long the line says it is and if it isn't, then u adjust the whole picture according and reprint until the numbers match

Which wires did you connect from the side markers to the signal? Which color to which? I have sidemarkers that have two wires, green and black. I want to know which ones you connected to get them to blink like in your part 2 video.
I meant to say that the cars in other countries don't have their parking/corner in their cars. The headlight just has the main light beam and the blinker when you blink, that's it.

What do you mean about "There WILL NO LONGER be corner/parking lights when you headlights are on." Does that mean my Headlights must be on in order for my corner lights to be on? I cant Just turn on my Yellow Corner lights on by them selfs with no headlights on?

i bought mine on ebay. the brand is DEPO. My friend got the geniune JDM used side markers and he said he wished he could've got the ebay DEPO instead bc they were new, cleaner, and cheaper price.
People using different softwares and computers to view the template will see it at a different size no matter if the choose the same scaling. That's why the template comes with measurements. What you're supposed to do is print it out and then measure the scaling marks on the paper and see if it matches your ruler. If it doesn't match, then you change the scale and reprint until you get it exactly what the measurements say. It's better to do it slighly smaller than bigger because you can always grind it out bigger; you can never make a hole smaller.

Observe the seller ratings and feedbacks 2. Do research on the internet about parts you want to buy. 3. FAKE parts are BRAND NEW AND LOW PRICE for Civic EKs, most of the time. 4. REAL parts are USED AND HIGH PRICE for Civic EKs, most of the time. 5. Read item description very carefully before you buy.
No. Just leave the fender on like I did. Undo the screws that holds the wheel well covers so that you can reach you hand behind it to unclip the wiring and the unclip the inside of the sidemarker to remove it all.
The link is included in the video description. MAKE SURE you print it out and MEASURE the template on the paper and resize the image on your computer and reprint until the measurements are correct.

@Sniper87t2 DON'T FOLLOW THE MEASUREMENTS FROM THE FREAKIN TUTORIAL FROM THE WEBSITE I POSTED UP. They freakin wrote the wrong values up or something or they wanted ppl to mess up. I don't know but it is completely way freakin off. If u want to get as close to as the EK9 position, make the sidemarker lined up so that the tip of the molding should be right in the middle of the sidemarker. That's for left and right alignment. Now for the up and down, line the top of the side marker with the top

@johnnybooom How did u know I blew up my security system? Well anyways. I installed a trunk release solenoid so that it would open with a push on the remote. I didn't know anything about security system wiring. I didn't know I was supposed to use a relay so I accidently short circuited the brain and it fried the crap out of it. I was so scared but luckily i found a guy on ebay selling just the brain. Btw, I did a lot of research and now i have the trunk solenoid fully working. I'm from Georgia.

@GTRskylyne ... edge of the wheel well / fender. The X comes the diagonals of the box that the tape makes when u put them over eachother.
I found the same measurements as you and also noticed that its a little too high. Good thing I found your videos before proceeding to the actual cuts.

I think so but I don't know if the EF uses the same sidemarker though. I doubt it's the same one.

Are all the wiring harness the same? i check online and there seems to be 2 different kinds.

What size tape did you use?
I'm not completely sure but it's the standard sized masking tape width, not the wide one. i think it's 1 inch but I'm not completely sure.
