But I bet as it got closer &closer he was unpleasantly surprised at how time was passing, lol. • @Hiiiiiiiiieeee
      @Hiiiiiiiiieeee ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@farcenter yeah, but this is a very different “playing” something for the camera. Like when a lot of the socialites and famous blondes back in the 2000s played dumb, but we’re really just using that to push their selves into the spotlight more. Paris could easily have an interview and say, I’m not really that dumb. I just acted like that on TV for attention. Nick can’t just remove 300 pounds of fat and say, JK I know that wasn’t good for me, but I’m gonna be healthy again. This is not the game of chicken you can win.

    • @DannyDevitoOffical-TrustMeBro
      @DannyDevitoOffical-TrustMeBro 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@farcenter I disagree. Yes, he’s being strategic about it, and yes, his plan makes him a lot of money, but it seems he thinks he’s a lot smarter than he actually is. If he really were the villainous mastermind he thinks he is, he would have a contingency plan to fall back on when he knows he’s getting too close to permanent damage. He is out of control, he just seems to swing in and out of denial about it. And hey, even if he _did_ once have a very smart plan for how he could do this and still stay out of physical danger, like Kiana said, even the best actors (especially the best actors) often and easily damage their own psyche by playing these over the top characters. If _they_ fall victim to their own brilliance, so can he. He may be a sharp opportunist, even a smart businessman, but he’s no mastermind. There are plenty of stupid and unwise people who could fall into either or both categories, because those are the only categories in which they are smart.

    • @stevenak115
      @stevenak115 ปีที่แล้ว +17

      @@James-ix4yv I was at 300lb 10 years ago. And the way I first lost 80lbs is by going to the doctor and getting phentermine (which to be fair isn't the safest). Then I got off it and gained 20lbs back then in 2015 I said enough was enough and went from 240 to 160. So 60 more pounds. By only eating one time a day. Which isn't the most healthy thing either but the calories were at 1200ish or more in that one meal because it's easy to get there these days. But after losing that weight I also made a life style change as to how I ate in general and only eat 2 times a day now. I did from 2016 to 2022 gain 20lbs back. And in January this last year I decided to change that too because i wasn't happy at 180lbs. What had happened to gain those 20lbs back was I was eating junk food again between those two meals a lot. And I cut that down and I had also increased the size of those two meals over those 7 years too so I cut them down. And I lost 40lbs this last year. I also take a multi vitamin, a b complex vitamin and go between vinegar pills and or cinnamon pills because those are suppose to support your metabolism and you need multi vitamins for your loss in vitamins from less food than you use to have. The only way to lose weight is to count calories and to eat healthier and avoid sugar the best you can. I have spells where I crave sugar and break. Which is fine but you have to keep on that track and restart in full the next day. and you can't do that all the time either. the recommended max in sugar is like 32g and most people get way more than than. you can get that in one soda. I haven't had a soda in several years. and i try to limit it to a few grams a day. you don't need added sugar. and it causes weight gain . Weight loss isn't a week thing or a month thing it's months to years. The first 80lbs even on meds took like 6 to 8 months. The next 60lbs took like 8 or 9 months. The 40lbs this year took like 6 months. It varies and it's not easy. But restricting your diet is the way to beat weight gain. You have to have a negative calorie count for the week to even start to lose. I think its like 500. But you also have to avoid added sugar at all cost and be active. I walk about 10k to 17k steps 5 days a week at work. Each person is different in the end on how their body works with them. But just remember you will have bad days when you want to give up. But don't. It's a fight and it will be a fight the rest of your life. I've struggled with weight since I was a kid. Now at 29 I'll struggle for the rest of my life. Because your body fights you the whole way through on weight loss and you'll gain back when you step off the diets and weight loss journey. the motivation should be found in yourself. I wanted to be skinny so i could feel better about myself. do i? yeah i think i look better at 140 than i do at 300. you have to do it for yourself.

I lost 100lbs over the past couple years and it was the hardest thing I have ever done; specifically the mental work and therapy that I had to do before I could even start losing. The food addiction took over my life and dealing with it was hard. There was comfort in being obese, as weird as it is to say.
    And to have a TH-cam empire that he has with all the money? I can’t even begin to grasp how much emotional and mental work he will need to do in order to get to a point where he will actively begin to lose weight.

    I'll definitely subscribe to that as his rational persona is quite entertaining to watch and his redemption is something many people need to see.
    He'll lose some followers for sure. He will gain many as well. He could tap into new subscribers by working with fitness and health content creators and talk about his old journey and his new one.

      Yeah! A lot of overweight people start having complications in their thirties. Stopping at 30 won't undo the damage that has already been done. In fact, it's much harder to lose weight when you hit thirties since your metabolism really starts to fail you. I have a brother who's always been skinny even though his diet is terrible. Now he recently got into his thirties, and he looks like he's pregnant. He thinks it's funny and he makes jokes about it because he believes he can easily lose the weight...

    Thank you for making these videos; I've always been overweight to the point where I have always felt terrible about myself and my body. But you've helped me learn the dangers of continuing to be overweight and how to help myself become better. I've lost around 30 pounds, and whenever I feel like quitting, I watch your videos to motivate myself. Seriously I don't think I would continue with my weight loss journey without your videos; they mean so much to me.

    I hope Nick does a redemption arc. He seemed like such a nice happy and funny person in 2016. The first thing he says when describing mukbangs is helping lonely people. I respect the hell out of someone for being that kind and loving. What better time to lose weight than now as the category is losing viewership. Hopefully he had a good financial advicer and he invested the money he made so he can stop and be financially well off.

  • @TeslabladePlaysMC
    @TeslabladePlaysMC ปีที่แล้ว +458

    I think you were almost at the exact point that I've been wanting to hear for ages about Nick. He is a gainer. There's no doubt about it. He's not just making content on OF for people into feedism (being into weight gain, stuffing and feeding), he IS into feedism. He even has an account where he says it, clear as day, with no doubts. The place he posts it on is a community forum for people into feedism and related "interests", and because I have a related "interest", I have an account on there and can see his account. He has his weight goal set to 400lbs, he has said multiple things explicitly stating his motives, and he's even shared stuff that he doesn't share on TH-cam, even. Here are some quotes.
    "Yes, I am an actor - the dramatized character I play on TH-cam is for entertainment (shock value, click-through rate, etc). I majored in performance & know what it takes to put yourself out there. The squeakiest wheels leave the greatest impressions; it's the crazy, competitive world of social media that I'm continually learning to navigate. But yeah, thought I'd say something about that."
    "Yes, I'm a gainer. I've gained 200 pounds in 4 years. I've always been attracted to huge bellies ever since I could remember (& I love slim chasers, too). I've immensely enjoyed exploring the gainer community." (slim chasers are slim people that're attracted to bigger people. They are sometimes also feeders or encouragers.)
    Here is where I would quote more things, but they're filled with Nick being horny on main, as well as using language that's foreign to people not in the community. In a nutshell, it shows him as someone who's definitely into gaining and a possibility that Orlin might actually be his feeder/encourager, as well as a feedee. There's even a video with Orlin where they have a conversation that goes,
    Nick: "I'm gonna feed you good."
    Nick: "I'm gonna feed you very good!"
    Orlin: "Mm, are you gonna get the funnel out?"
    Nick: "The funnel?! Shh! we need to get monetized, stop it!"
    So, it's decently obvious Orlin's in the community as well, as he knows about the "funnel", as well as the fact that he has a mostly blank but inactive account on the same website that I found Nick on. Given the status of this website being such a small community, fake accounts are not common, and even if it is a fake, there are details on there that you would have to be incredibly attentive to Nick and Orlin's social media to even get.
    Most of what Nick seems inclined to do is to gain and keep on gaining, but saying that he's reached his goal weight, there's 2 paths that I see would be the most in character for him to take. 1) change the goal and keep gaining and doing mukbangs, but slow down on mukbangs so he still posts but doesn't gain as much or even just sustains, or 2) realize that he's fallen off , since mukbangs get boring after a while, and do other stuff that has more views, like his recent escapades with Oompaville.
    There is a slim chance that the 2nd path could be a redemption arc, and Oompaville is even pushing for it, but that could jeopardize his relationship with Orlin, his friends, and the gainer community, so I have heavy doubts. He does want to be the "squeakiest wheel", so a redemption arc could satisfy that want, if all else fails.

    • @schoo9256
      @schoo9256 ปีที่แล้ว +56

      Yeah once people give into satisfying a se*ual desire tied to something that is bad for them, it's very difficult to change their goals. The reward is very powerful, and to change they would have to admit to themselves that all the things they have let themselves do in the name of gratification, were things the "sane" them would be horrified by. Nobody wants to face that. I hope whatever interest you have is less destructive, friend.

    • @TeslabladePlaysMC
      @TeslabladePlaysMC ปีที่แล้ว +44

      @@schoo9256 Exactly, I see that a lot on the community. Lots of regret, lots of fucked up things. On that forum, there are people that're into "gaining to immobility", "growing unhealthy", and other stuff I don't wanna mention, because it's messed up and a lot of those people come out the other end regretting it, especially the feeders. I don't associate with them, but there's always a bad side of k*nksters.
      Either way, It's really different to see these things, things that you're so familiar with, happening in the community, just portrayed exactly how it is in the community, but with tens of millions of eyes on the subject. Just to put that to scale, that community forum I mentioned is the biggest single place for people into feedism and bellies in general, and there are just over 76,000 members total. That's not even 1% of the amount of followers Nik has, and that's probably not even 1% of 1% of how many views Nik has racked up site-wide.
      It's freaky.
      Also, concerning my own interests, they're all pretty benign. Yeah, I've minorly hurt myself in the past from it, but I've gotten to a point where I know my body so well that I can have my fun, enjoy it, and completely avoid hurting myself. I'm definitely not causing irreparable damage to my body like Nik. I do thank you for your concern, though. It's nice to see good people in the world.

    Lots of smart, hardworking, and knowledgeable people struggle to lose weight. My personal opinion is that people underestimate the neurochemical, hormonal, physiological, and psychological impacts of obesity and focus too much on willpower. After 6+ years of his lifestyle, the way back to a healthy bodyweight might be beyond him.
    Basically, I wouldn't be surprised if he planned to get healthy again but he likely greatly underestimated how difficult that would be. It is substantially different for a healthy weight (never obese) young adult to maintain their weight than for an middle aged morbidly obese food addict to lose weight.
