Former Pro Table Tennis player here: They often use DHS Hurricane 3 National Rubber for their forehand. It's not really available to foreigners and they have an advantage with it. It is a very tacky rubber and it's fairly medium hardness. It puts off more spin than any other rubber. The rubber usually runs close to $100.00 if you can find one to buy and be aware of fakes. In China these rubbers are only available to those on the national team. For backhand they often use European/Japanese rubbers, such as Butterfly on backhand etc.
@@Blake-pz7jj this is very wrong please do not listen, i am a player in england and Hurricane 3 nationel is not unavaliable to foreighners loads and loads of players in every country use it, and it being $100 is also not true if you know where to look (if ur not silly) as of course you dont want to buy of the main stores they charge alot extra you should buy of the offical stores of Ali Express, i use hurrincae 3 and buy it for £54 or $71, and there is not some secret advantage as you say they simply boost there rubber using oil wich is available to everyone and lots of people do it, your very wrong about being only avaliable to nationel team members Everyone can buy if they have the money, i dont know if you really are a ex pro or not but it sounds doubtfull, but to answer the original question about what the boy is using, most likely Hurricane 3 nationel blu sponge (2.15 thickness and 41 hardness is common) boosted with one or two layers of Oil (usually nationel black oil or nationel yellow oil, both are avaibable for purchase for wider world) and the blade he uses will either be DHS or Butterfly hard to tell, and his baclhand rubber will be usally some type of hybrid rubber such as dignics O9C or similar. If you want a Cheap alternative I recommend Yinhe Rubbers, they are pretty much the se if you boost them
