B takes - 12 days
Lcm - 24
Hence no of units of work that they can do separately in a day
A - 24/8 - 3 units
B - 24/12 - 2 units
3+2 /24= 5 /24
As per the shortcut
5×4/ 24 - then to find alternate we multiply 4 by 2 - 8 days to do 20 unit work together.
Balance - 4 units balance (A- 1 units+ B-1/2 unit)
A - 3 unit - 1 day
B - 2 unit - 1/2 day
Finally- a and b alternatively working will complete the work in -
8+1+1.5 days = 9.5 or 9 1/ 2 days!
Remembering those class days and unbelievable it's passed one decade...same effects of motivational voice which rebuild and stimulate to restart the learning
