Great stuff! You really have some good stuff going on your channel !!
It would be interesting to see more of the whole darkroom process, developing some photos (test strips, contrast filter decisions, dodging & burning etc). It always interesting to see how other people do this process and you have such a great way of presenting so some more of that would be really cool!

Thank you! , working on a full darkroom print now. My schedule got a bit messed up but hoping to have it up next week 👍

@@Distphoto Cool! I think you shouldn`t worrry too much about the schedule - i think too many channels here publish "just something" just to get their frequency "covered". So far, you have really had something to show or tell in each video. Stuff like that is well worth a wait! :)

@@andreascaveman Thanks, that means a lot. I do want to focus on quality content more than just publishing. That is the plan!

Thanks these are great tips! I wouldn't have thought of using two-color paper to dodge/burn, will definitely get some. Haven't put my ND filter to use here yet but will for sure. À propos, it would be great if you would cover how to figure out the best lens aperture. Luckily I have friends in the Amazon jungle for sourcing blow darts, so don't need to go through their internet middle man 😉!

Great tips! If I use a 1 stop ND filter for burning I have to double the time exposure right?

      Yes, correct 👍

How do you know what aperture gives the sharpest image? I assumed a smaller aperture would produce the most in focus image just like it would on a camera.

Typicall most lenses have a “sharpest point” Most enlarger lenses seem to be about 2 stops from wide open. Though that is a generalization. Once you stop down to f16/22 diffraction starts to come in to play.
All of this is lens dependent as higher end lenses will be great throughout the range.
Also, how much of this affects a print viewed by your eyes is debatable.
I do feel It is important to know, especially as most beginners will use lower end lenses that came with enlargers and are noticeably less sharp the further from the sharpest aperture

It's pretty surprising that nobody has yet made 3D printed or some other form of commercialized dodge tools. I'd gladly pay for a nice set of tools that aren't actual duct tape and sticks.
