Almost all of these shells where built on site over the week by the All-Stars, and I LOVE watching their shells!! Great group of people to hang out with too and they will show you all the tricks!
Right?!?!?! The only time I get to see TRUE palms like that are on these member built shells and they are SO BEAUTIFUL! seeing that trunk last as all the leaves come down!! Loved it!!
@@denfireworks Too bad the expense is way too high for me, but boy would I love to become a member of PGI (which is the doable part) and travel to this convention every year (which is the hard to afford part).

Last year was my first year at PGI and I wandered into their tent and ALL awesome people, and they threw a 12" hemi at me and started walking me through building a shell with them LOL... I never built ANYTHING BEFORE and they just started explaining everything and had me follow along!

So last year was my first ever PGI.... and I was wandering around and Craig Hetherington (2nd VP but I didn't know that at the time) picked me up when he saw me wandering around on my own and took me for a tour... He took me too the all stars tent.. they heard it was my first PGI and I never built a shell before (and didn't sign up for any classes) and they threw a 12" hemi in my hands and started walking me through building my first shell LOL Awesome group of people in there!!! And there are SO MANY classes... You want to build a 6" ball? OK!! 2" canister? Sure Mines, fountains, comets, wheels, maletese style, OR Help out on the member built display for the whole week... SO MANY options!! Will next year be your first PGI?? This year was my second, and I can't WAIT for next years already!
Do you have any videos this year of the individual shell groups like 2 to 4 inch then 4 to 8 and so on or however they group them like last year? Id like to inter that beginner shell comp next year. As it will be my first year at pgi
I have a lot of that, I took 8th Place in beginner shells this year. Check next week sometime if you want. I should have some videos up. These are shot perfectly, though. Mine might not be this good, haha.
I have videos of ALL of them! I just need the time to edit them down and the competition shell ones take SO MUCH time to get rid of all the dead air in between them as they figure out the shoot list... I plan on editing them down this weekend I will be posting them up! (beginner is posted already, and LV5)

@@denfireworks it's a palm tree and that shell made that so clear. Most palms in fireworks don't have that long time dross. These kind of conventions is were You see this. Now sometimes professional shell suppliers have nice ones but not that nice.
@@3ccdmike Yeah the two best REAL Palms I have seen was this one, and the one at 23 PGI... You get the leaves in other ones... but not that long lasting trunk... Just so beautiful in person!!

The MUM Member built display, that is a week long class where they build all of the shells and effects and setup the show will be posting tomorrow at 2pm Eastern! BUT there are also a TON of other shell, rocket, mine, wheel, fountain, etc.. classes you can attend, and then send up your stuff at the open B line to check it out!
@denfireworks glad to know what I might be looking forward to in Iowa next year! I might make it, because it's slightly less unbearable in the middle of summer, compared to MN 😉 🤣😂
