I went to grade school with officer Skerski’s kids at St.Adalberts in PortRichmond. Awesome family and was a sad time during the time he lost his life protecting the city. His son was graduating 8th grade with me and his father passed a month before us graduating 😢
Feast of the Epiphany is January 6th you are correct! January 1st back in the day was the Feast of the Circumcision now it's known as Solemnity of Mary
Great videos, as usual. You know ~ you're right. That kid Steve sure is a good guy. I like how you did your daily 𝒎𝒊𝒕𝒛𝒗𝒂𝒉 by saving those gloves for the truck driver. We should all do good deeds every day when the opportunity presents itself. Some day if convenient, please consider presenting an area high school sporting event such as basketball, hockey, or wrestling. Those are always fun.
Great video Cap, thanks! It's nice to see some light snow and also makes me thankful to be in Texas now LOL, although it's a little brisky this week here too. But, heading back to Philly to visit family on 1/17 and also taking them to the Wings game on 1/19....thanks for the idea from your video from their first game of the season!
I live in Washington State and there's two rite aids within five six miles of each other with bare shelves. Now I know why thanks captain I couldn't get a straight answer out of the assholes and rite aid why the shelves are bare.
I know people say "A lot of great memories here" but for me at the :27 second mark you showed me a tragic flashback in my life. One of those homes across the street is where my father committed suicide back in 1974. I lived in Bridesburg not far from there and was separated from him. Didn't know he lived there. got a call from coroners office. Had to come over there to pick up his things. 😞
The Traditional Epiphany is celebrated on January 6th; but in the United States, the Catholic Church observes Epiphany on the first Sunday following January 1st.
With only a few inches of this light snow there was no need to shovel out your car or having to save a space. That’s only necessary when we get about a foot of that heavy wet snow that turns into an ice block after a day or so.
Looks like Veho is some kind of package delivery service, that's all I could figure out from their website, the website is so full of corporate/PR speak it's kind of hard to figure out what exactly the company does. Amazing to see another Wawa with no gas pumps, I thought the original one in Media was the last one. I guess Media is special, they built a new Wawa with gas pumps a few blocks away from the original one and didn't tear down that one. The other small Wawa's in Delaware county all seem to have been closed.
In kensington i would wait at the bottom of I st and tioga st to watch cars crash into each other during snow storms. As kids we would bet on it all day lol
THese business's do eat them own, they are like vultures, these ceos and equity firms.. Walgreens/rite down here too, dying out. THese big brickmotor stores have been buying up a ton of property, like amazon in california which bought tons of propery, thanks to covid.. We are going to see a large increase in "warehouses" in each state; USA the land of warehouses soon.. lol.
The Epiphany is twelve days after Christmas, which is Jan. 6th. You were absolutely right. Loved the video today
I’ve been in Bridesburg for 46 years. It’s changed so much.
A lot of good memories 50 yrs ago. different time. different society, different culture. all of that is lost.
It's great to see young men out hustling to get work.
Happy snow day!!!! Yes if you shovel out a spot you own it. Unwritten Philly law. The snow is beautiful. Thanks.
The snow is pretty...☃️

Used to be in PA people would shovel snow for neighbors to be kind. There was no claiming your spot with a chair. The decline of society.
The Amazon warehouse is down by the Betsy Ross Bridge.
Good video🔥🔥
I finally saw The Turnaround! It was great! 👍
I was hoping you did a snow video. Here in Fort Bragg NC it is hard to get snow. Thanks Mr.The Philly Capt
I used to like snow now not so much now, creates more work.

I hate unnecessary honking too, Capt’n. So rude.

The Philadelphia Captain should run for mayor. It's 70 degrees in north Florida 👌😂
That idea is not as crazy as it might seem.
The humidity is what keeps me from going to Florida more often. Ehhh.
I heard that you got snow, it's pretty..
Back in the 1970 's that was Harry's All Star Bar
