I played a succubus and was "cuddled" to death because I nearly overworked myself and then fed someone a succubus specific food item and then they came at night and wanted "it". Overworking is no joke, lol. But you get stat-boosts from doing the deed as a succubus. Cool game.
I bought the lowest tier for the kickstarter for this game last year and now I get to play it. Before that though, I did talk to Noa, the developer for this game and gave him some feedback on the earliest Elin alpha demo. Back then, Noa was heavily inspired by Rimworld and thus there was more focus on the base building. Right now, Noa has slowly shifted back to his roots in Elona and so there's more focus on the adventuring parts. Glad to see that the crazy Japanese elements from Elona are still in the heart of the game.
I haven't played Elona, but I was surprised on how much Elin focused on base building and all sorts of land developing. I personally like and hope he leans back into more adventuring, as that is my favorite.
Man, Elona was an acid trip. I remember using scrolls of inferiority or something like that to degrade items that gave stat boosts. You degrade them far enough they become edible. You then eat the item to get the stat buff permanently. I also remember you can pickup an alien parasite from drinking at the village well.
as it meant to be the successor of elona i can tell you if you like kenshi you will prob like this. i played a lot of elona before kenshi came out and did the same with kenshi in the early cycle.
Not only you reminded me to finish Elona, you also informed me that there's a 2nd game. Thanks! And thanks for respecting my time, that's worthy a sub.
Elona ? Isn't that the game, where you can choose flying child (fairy) as your pet, and tentacles can *infect* it, making it "spawn" aliens every couple minutes, so you can farm lvl endlessly ?
I have a great idea on how you should inform us on each element of the game. Break each part into smal 3-5 minute video, and if they are more complex you can link that 3-5 minute to a longer video on a different playlist going into details and demonstration the mechanic of the game piece by piece. You can please both crowds and attract more people to your channel if you have the right info to a specific item or in game rule. It would help me find the right thing when searching on the internet. Later on you can do some streaming if your audience is large enough. You can probably gain a huge following and be known as the guy to go to when searching for Elin content. I just wanted to subscribe to you now because I believe we share mutual vision when it come to complex games like Elin. I would love to buy the game and invest my time into it if I can source the right person to guide me there. Right now I am playing the demo and still figuring things out, but with time. I'm sure you would be my go-to guide when it come to Elin content once I buy the game.
I genuinely think that this is the best game ever created so far. The depth of its systems and player freedom is mind blowing. The atmosphere and music is incredible. Its an 11/10.
i just love it because it has the combat system that focus solely for Dual-wield you can also equip different melee weapon each hand the one i like was the fact you can freely switch up to two-handed(if you equip only one weapon at hand) or shield but you have to learn it first if ya doesn't have the skill
Bro, instant sub for you. Your BYB videos are short, pleasant to hear and on point to all the important aspects to a game. Keep doing god's work to the gaming community ❤
Never knew much about Elona, but watching this video makes me really curious about Elona and Elin. Sound like those games will consume a lot of my time though xD Kudos that you did all the research to also have knowledge about the first game to talk about the prequel!
Thanks for the review man, new to the channel! Game looks amazing, I love sandbox games with skill progression. Honestly, would you recommend it? Looks a bit too complex and all over the place, might be very wrong though. Cheers!
I think a good first step is to take in some gameplay from ELONA since this game is connected to it in many ways. If you dig what you see in ELONA then giving this a shot is probs not a bad call
@@singleplayersquad1 2 weeks later. This game is my GOTY lol, played it for 55 hours already. Crazy good, thanks again for the video, wouldn't have found it without.
This game looks indeed interresting but i've a major complaint when i watch videos about it, NPC and ennemies seems to don't have any animations and it totally ruins it for me. I hope it is like that only because it's not the final product, but it's a big no for me until this is changed.
i know people like guides, and info on a game before playing but elona was a game i played alot with out guides and info figuring out systems in a sandbox like this is half the fun
Only thing that bothers me is the npcs having no walk animation and glitching from square to square but the mc has an animation and looks smooth. Idk if that would bother me so much I could not enjoy the game but from the gameplay in this video it looks really jarring.
It's my series. Nearly every video has this title. Most people don't find it weird but see that it's a video aimed to not waste your time when delivering information
If you want to know then search up the game and look for Reddit. I won't mention it here so TH-cam doesn't penalize my channel, TH-cam is very strict when it comes to these "adult" things

Also pretty wild game. Not gonna play as a snail again anytime soon though.
can't wait for his next video to flood yet another community with the most obnoxious fanbase in the world.
