    again super informative video .. i really like how you are using Arp for
    creating melodies which doesn't sound like they're made with arp :-) - the trick with different arp melody on second trig, shifted to left in fill mode is pretty smart :-) 👍👍👍

      Thank you Ray! That's great to hear and very happy that it's informative. :) Yeah I love the different techniques with the Digitone's arp - I don't know why but this thing brings out a lot of creativity in me and I super often get melodies with it that I really like and wouldn't have got otherwise. :)

    Your tutorials are really the best for live performance! I'd like to know what are your settings for pattern scale and step counts? You seem to easily achieve 8 bar patterns despite the 64 steps limitation.

    • @MilesKvndra
      @MilesKvndra  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you so much! And regarding your question: I set the sequencer speed to half speed so that you can get 8 bar patterns. You then also need to set the max length to 128 instead of 64 and then it should work

    Thank you! Very very useful - Your videos on developing musical ideas into different tracks are gold. I don’t find that easy as I like to just jam so making tracks that build and work together is hard and I would like to learn this… also how to end a session. Good luck!

    • @MilesKvndra
      @MilesKvndra  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Pigeon! Awesome to hear that it's useful. And yeah, usually it's a progress: Like you I first start jamming around and developing ideas on different patterns and then I spend time on the refinement meaning transitions between the different ideas to create a coherent jam. :)

    Transitions are the more impactful arts to master on this machines. Just beeing curious: What is the advantage of using the Fill Mode over just jumping to an intermediate pattern?

    • @MilesKvndra
      @MilesKvndra  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ilorenzo, that's a good question: I usually combine both meaning that I have a transition pattern to build up the initial tension and also introduce elements from the new pattern and then use the FILL mode to perform the final transition to that pattern. In this example here I just used FILL trigs to perform a transition within the pattern without needing to change patterns. this gives me more flexibility before actually changing patterns and saves some space when it comes to patterns. But you can of course also use intermediate patterns for transitions, works really well and I like to do that too. Cheers!

  • @rolardnb
    @rolardnb ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the video.
    I have a question. Can I record automation (for a filter, for example) only for FILL section? I mean not retrig parameters per each step, exactly automation in real-time.

    • @MilesKvndra
      @MilesKvndra  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, I think this should be possible with a little workaround: When you record automations, these are shown in the sequencer as trigless trigs (yellow trigs). If you then hold down these trigs and set them to FILL mode, they should then only play in FILL mode.
