I’m absolutely in love with the new Mini! I bought it for flying (I’m a private pilot) and I’ve been waiting for this design. (All screen, magnetic pencil mount, etc.) It’s going to be GREAT in the airplane!
I don’t know why you being a private pilot has to do with anything whit the iPad mini but ok… weird place to flex you could of left that out and still your point across jus sayin
@@SkerboysweetBruh, im also a private pilot and I’ve been looking for a smaller device to have on my knee board, he mentioned the pilot part because the cockpit is quite small and this device is perfect for that reason. No one is flexing, take it easy my g.
Also a great iPad for does who want to have maximum portability and would travel from time to time with 5g connectivity. And yes it’s an excellent idea for pilots as well. I’d say it’s a nice travel size iPad.

This is a nice upgrade over the previous Mini 5. But I'm not a fan of the $100 price increase, especially when they didn't bump up the base storage from 64gb to 128gb. Which would have made the price increase easier to swallow. Great unboxing, and thanks for sharing.

Tried my new iPhone 13 Mini today and was very pleased with the brightness outside compared to my previous iPhone 11 which didn’t have a great screen experience. Thinking about whether the extra screen estate will help on the iPad mini as I’ve been thinking of getting one for my drones.
I was thinking of getting this also for using with the DJI remote but then i saw that the new ipad mini has only 500 nits brightness and it might not be bright enough for sunny days. Very curious to see your thoughts on this...

I agree not a smart move to have the screen at that low nits, so many more would buy this if it had 1000nits to fly drones as the 1000 nits option from dji is very pricey. I have always bought Apple but a you say there is the dreaded Apple tax and sometimes I feel like I've gotten off a very wide horse after buying.

Hi Sean .. is this a WiFi - 5G version or WiFi only? I have mini 5 WiFi and I’m thinking of upgrading because of 2 things .. the usb-c and because the WiFi only version doesn’t have gps .. I noticed that when I’m flying the drone The blue orientation doesn’t show up, is it still the same way in 6 ? Must get the 5G version although I don’t need 5G only gps..
Maybe you can, and will, answer a couple questions. Does the Mini 6 have more viewing area that the previous iPad Minis? For speed when used to fly how do you think this version will compare to an iPad Pro 10.5”, which is quite a bit older but I’m finding it still very capable? Yes they have increase the screen size to 8.3 inches up from 7.9. As for speed for flying drones you don’t need a very fast processor unless you’re doing screen recordings and other things in the background. But it does have the A15 chip and new 5 core GPU so in theory faster than than older iPad pros. But as mentioned the older iPad pros are still insanely fast when it comes to editing and very capable
Thanks for the reply. I'm debating a new iPad Pro or a new iPad Mini. I keep both and use them for different things. I'm leaning toward using a Mini 6 for flying because I believe it will balance with Autel controllers better than a larger iPad Pro. With the Mini 4 it seemed latency was an issue. That has definitely been untrue of the iPad Pro I use now. Your reply helps me decide, and because of it I'm leaning toward the Mini 6.

You can get a shade cover when your outside.
just use a sun hood shade that dji sell

That one is WIFI only. You can see it beacuse the LTE model got Antenna bands
