Interesting, I was just reading about saffron being used to treat depression then this showed up. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the flower before, but it looks pretty. Anything pretty and low maintenance automatically gets my approval. Lol

It's a variety of crocus that grows in the Spring along with daffodils, hyacinth, and other early blooming bulbs.

I recently splurged on saffron and used it exactly as instructed in a batch of rice. I expected heaven and I got WEIRD RICE. Seriously, I don't know what the fuss is about, the stuff tastes strange.
