Russ , this video is the best reason ever to get off the interstates and do a slow relaxed roll on the back roads - thanks for sharing and reinforcing what RVing is all about - Be Safe - Marvin

Reedsport OR turn east on Hwy 38, 4 miles to Dean Creek Elk viewing. I spent the last month checking out all the little rv parking areas on the coast. Out of Florence go east on Hwy 126 to Mapleton, don't turn to Eugene go straight 12 miles and there is a wayside right next to the river. Nice dry camp spot.

The sky is so blue, just beautiful! Looks. Like the RV Park is pretty full, nice location. Looking forward to Port Ortford

Coos Bay, Brookings & Lincoln City is where my son likes to vacation. That Charleston seaside is so cool! Love to see the small town flair there. So much of the east coast beaches are so commercialized, you don't get to see stuff like that.

If ya dont mind the tweakers and homeless taking over Charleston

You've had quite the summer. We've enjoyed riding along with u & Scooby. The west coast boats are interesting much different than ours.

They call it the Japanese current up and down the coast line from northern Calif. all the way up to British Columbia. All those years I lived in Oregon, countless treks walking/jogging/kite flying/fishing/clam digging etc. and never could I be in the 45 to 55 degree water more than a few minutes. Hyperthermia Hell.

Russ be sure to stop in Newport and eat at "Moe's" down on the marina, they are renowned for their Clam Chowder. I've eaten there many times and the only other place that has been as good as that is the Great America Fish company in Morrow Bay, CA.

You don't need to go out to crab. Spent many days in a lawn chair, at the end of the docks with a crab ring and always caught some keepers. Crab/fish cleaning station at the RV park. Wild bar in town full of commercial fisherman or girlfriends, if their out fishing, for fun.

The fog just adds to the uniqueness of the coast, in my opionion. (❛‿❛✿̶̥̥) That bridge is really cool. You and I really need to go back there. I want to try crab fishin' and eating some FRESH crab meat. YUMMY. Glad you and Scoobers found another Elks to stay at. Thank you for the nice tour.
