No reason for I 65 to be that bad of a design; it isn't that old of a road. It was only built when Merrillville started to boom. I remember when we had no choice but to go down US 41 to get anywhere in that area.
Yeah it's not really a bad design but, having the right lane ending like it does is insane. Plus people can't remember what lane they need and they live there.
