As a new genshin impact player, i expected that they (The Archons or Gods) will have some kind or tragic backstory but my heart can't handle after watching their Archon quest on youtube....Outside they are just fine but deep down they all are hiding their sadness from others, i want to give them Hugs and comfort them.. There’s a world called Teyvet with 7 elemental regions casted out all over with Archons to protect them, Mondstat the wind region looked down by venti, Liyue the rock region looked after by zhongli, Inazuma the thunder region ruled by Ei/ Raiden Shogun, Sumeru the earth element watched over by Nahida, Fontaine the water region ruled by Furina and Focalors There’s two more that aren’t out yet but they are called Natlan the fire region and Snzeznyaya the ice region So they all have some kind of trauma Btw all the Archons are like gods so they don’t age Venti was in a war years ago with an unknown tribe and many lives were lost including his friend and himself. Zhongli was kinda dateing another god called ghuizong and she turned into drug- I MEAN DUST Ei had a group of friends and they died or sum but she also had a twin sister also died so to hide the pain she created an emotionless puppet of herself to rule over inazuma Nahida is one of 2 gods in sumeru so basically she’s the weaker one and everyone forgets about her even though she gives wisdom to everyone but it turns out she was both of them and she was upset for some reason and she got stabbed a bunch of times Furina rules over a region full of fatui harbingers so there’s a prophecy that all of Fontaine will sink and she will be the last one standing and she relies on her big bro or something and in her past life she was executed for some reason. So yeah Go search up all the archons to know which one I’m taking about And go download Genshin :)

Furina had it the hardest. I mean just imagine having to act like a god, having to watch as the people around you age and die while you have no idea when you'll be able to be free from the seemingly endless madness. Having the pressure of hundreds of people's lives on your shoulders and not being able to tell *anyone* or else all the pain you had suffered would be in vain and then everyone would die. Having to act like everything is fine and you're fine when in reality you feel as if you are dying. My urge to reach through my computer screen and cross dimensions to give a fictional character a hug has never been stronger.
Zhongli's, Nahida's and Furina's are the ones that made me cry... I have a phobia of being forgotten and abandoned so Nahida's and Furina's hit me the hardest, and Zhongli's speech was so beautiful ❤😭
"I have no regret in ever meeting you...till the day ever come when we're not together... you will continue to shine like gold in my memories..." I'm using this as my wedding vows...it's beautiful...

Zhongli lived the longest and now I know why he is geo the moai 🗿 aka craved by our early ancestors 😭😭is made of stones and the female have more tragic back story like nahida and raiden shogun and shenhe and lots of other character even furina having focalors sacrifice 😭
I like all of those backstory even the raiden Ei one it's basic TOO basic but it's still good they are sad but well written (almost all) even if a lot of them doesn't really show a theme a moral lesson like Scaramouche backstory and story did but those are still fukin awesome
No, they all did… Venti-Lost one of his only friend in war and had to take shape of him and formed into a god from his cities hope Zhongli-Had to withstand his loved ones death for thousands of years, like his osmanthus wine line is telling about the people he lost Nahida-Neglected by her own nation
I don’t know why but I feel bad for raiden and nahida the most, nahida because she lost rukkhedevata and raiden because all of her friends passed away one by one and even her sister.
