I'm rewatching DBZ for the first time in 15 years - the first time for my wife - and we're having so much fun. There are many things one revisits only to realize that nostalgia is the only thing holding them up, but not DBZ. It remains beautiful, engaging, and awesome - well worth watching today as much as ever!
If this episode doesn't make you love the Dagster I don't know what will. Love Constellation and this was the most enjoyable episode so far. What an intro!
The eulogy for Toriyama was absolutely beautiful. Like many 30 something weebs, Dragonball Z was my gateway into anime, And DBZ is an absolute staple of Mexican culture so that's something else I hold extremely close as I was reminded of that over the weekend. Rest easy, King.
I've noticed in basically all podcasts, when someone has the floor, the others sort of trail in and out of paying attention. When Dagon spoke of Toriyama, everyone was listening. Really, really well said Dagon.
I love the conversation about reading books. I'm close to Dagan's age, and I used to read a ton of books when I was in grade school and middle school. I just got back into reading a year ago. It really is true what Matty says, that it almost puts you in a Zen state with your brain. Your brain just feels healthier after reading for a couple hours, and you feel so much calmer.
Loved the book talk. My successful method of a few years now has been reading at least one chapter a day. Before that it was more silly goal oriented like "X amount per year/month" and I could never be consistent with it, but now just simply one chapter a day and I'm on a roll. My mindset was also doing something quiet/meditative, along with needing to cope from how bad Disney Star Wars is. So I'm like 30 EU books deep now and not stopping anytime soon. Give it a shot!
It’s a testament to the quality of LSM that when the video started I did a quick check of who was on and thought, “oh this is a good lineup” before even noticing Colin wasn’t even there.
Two Keystone guys in here and neither one of you mentioned Knoebels in PA. The Phoenix was first coaster as a kid. The bumper cars and mini golf are legendary there and the train ride through the woods there will live on in my memory forever. Not sure if that place is still open but I can imagine it being a nice chill place to take a walk with your spouse and enjoy outdoors as opposed to the burning hot concrete of a six flags.
Dustin love how you have gotten into the roller coaster community. I have myself as well. Cedar point and Kings island are my top 2 favorite parks I have been to so far. I live in Columbus right between them is i am spoiled with roller coasters
Didnt know Akira and Im grieving like he was my friend. I guess its because all those series died with him. We will never get an original idea from him and that really sucks. Thank you for everything Toriyama-san. You helped this fatherless black kid growing up in a alcoholic abusive home have something to smile about after school at 5pm. Dont think i be who i am without DB. Didnt even know what anime was when i started watching it.😅 Rest easy King👑🙏🏿😭💙 Edit: Shout out to my passed best bro David Kressel. I miss you like hell bro and I will never forget the day Goki went super saiyan, we lost our shit😂 Miss you so much brother.
I do wish y'all had talked more about Dragon Quest! I was definitely a Dragon Ball kid like everyone else, but DQ was for sure my bigger touch point to Toriyamas works. I know he wasn't the only genius behind that franchise and just did the character/monster art, but his contributions were so strong that it just elevates everything else - the music, the art, and the adventure are what Dragon Quest is all about and he was part of that Triforce.
To potentially answer Matty's question on who will carry the baton and bring out a new Dragon Ball inspired series. I just want to say as a hard-core anime fan/content creator that Dandadan, which will be airing in October of this year on Netflix is heavily inspired by DBZ specifically. Things like beam fight, Ki blasts and Tri Beams are used in the series. So, keep an eye out on Dandadan, Matty!
Great episode I hope Matty gets around to playing some of the older/ds era remakes of Dragon Quest, especially 4/5 I think they would pair great with his dipping his toes into Final Fantasy games on his rebound channel, DQ did so much and the industry is still playing catchup to gameplay/systems they were doing in the 80s and 90s
Best Intro ever, too, Dagster *Budokai Tenkaichi 2* best Dragon Ball game ever period!! Remains my Dragon Ball dream game to this day, spent so much time customizing every character to perrfection
I have no number and figures but I assure all of you that Dragon Ball is more well-known here in the Philippines than Star Wars or Lord of the Rings. There's something about his artstyle that's just so striking and with just one glance you know he's a part of that project. RIP Toriyama, your works touched a lot of people.
The way I've found to gain time for reading is switching to audiobooks because that makes it possible to do other things while you listen to the story. One of those things is driving I'll always prefer a good story over listening to music.
+1 for more diverse lineups like this please! Imagine how many more unique groups we could get without Colin or Dagan on every episode (no offense Dagster). He'd also be great as the new host too 😅
I worked on a job site by dutch wonderland. There ended up being a huge vein of rock down the middle of the building sight and we had to blast it out. Scared the hell outta them Amish kids
Dagan! I'm seeing De La Soul in Chicago in July at Pitchfork Fest (it's small and affordable), come party with me muffin! Finally getting into their stuff now that it is on streaming. I'm a huge Wu and Tribe fan so they have been a blind spot for me. Also Dagan, there is a ton of moshing at rap shows nowadays lol
Spent 3400 this past December for Disneyland in LA for 5 days. Hotel, Fast pass and hopper. Purchased thought Costco as a bundle. Pretty cool but I can’t do it every year lol. Reason why I do a couple days then wait a year or two to go again. I have a 6 and a 9 year old so I’m pretty sure my Disney trips are going to run low as soon as they get bigger lol
Did me and Matty grow up in the same county? I NEVER thought I’d hear the words “Lake Compounce” again in my fucking life after going there for the last time in like.. 8th grade? Mahopac Represent!
I live right next to Carowinds where that cracked coaster was. I've ridden it many times but that is scary lol great coaster though but not as good as the Intimidator or Top Gun
This was a great episode. I love Colin and his topics. But Dagan did a great job hosting and the guests make all the difference. I get annoyed when Jaffe is on.
When they talked about dragon ball final bout being terrible, I get it but I still really loved that game. It was the first 3d db game i saw and really enjoyed it despite it not being a very good game. I mean, I was used to street fighter 2 and even in 3d I used to play bloody roar 1 and 2 which were much better. But the fact that the game was dragon ball just catched my attention. Also, for some reason It was te japanese version of the game so there was always a mistery around the game because I didn´t know what anything meant. Even so, kids just figured out how to play the game, unlock secret characters etcetera. It was a great time over all. I later discovered chrono trigger and was hooked for like 3 years, a long time for a kid.
I love Colin, but I’m so excited for this episode without him. You can’t take him out of Sacred or Knockback, but I think Constellation needs this shake up.
Honestly Stelly without Colin every now & then would be refreshing- especially when the line up has him & Jaffe in it. This was just 4 guys reminiscing & staying on topic. Really liked the focus.
I think I remember a pill that actually makes your farts smell like flower, that was years ago so maybe the technology is now where we can have flower smelling shit.
Who gives cats, or any living creature really, for Valentines Day? Especially while in college. Unless you're a married couple or something that's just a very bad idea.
Am I weird for feeling uncomfortable with the sentiment that Akira Toriyama's death is tragic because we don't get more stuff? In an age of consumerism is this how we value someone's life? We complain that we don't have the time to consume all the media we want to anyways. I mean these guys barely talked about Dragon Quest (talk about a blindspot). I did appreciate that Dagan acknowledged that there was so much more to explore in Toriyama's catalog of work.
I absolutely love that Dagan wrote out the entire intro and host introductions. Classic Dagster
hahaa, I'll do it this way every time, always wanted to do 'scripted content' - living out my dream! ; )
@daganmoriarty1973 god bless you Dagster
The Dagster having a nice conversation with his three sons
Nephews
I’ve never read any comment to extend this logic to Colin presumably banging his own daughter.
Dagan is like the warm blanket we need on those cold winter nights. Dude is just a ball of positivity that we all could use during these trying times.
The host I've always wanted 😂 let's go Dagen!

Colin wanted us to say the episode was better without him. So here it is. We never need Colin again this was SOOOO much better!
This episode gave me 4 orgasms
The only time Colin was actually right
And Fallout 4
Nah. I love all of these guys. Its legit almost like an all star team. But Colin is Colin
Dagan’s intro was so over the top and I love it
Classic Dagster energy
The Dagster!!!! If you read this Dagan we need Dagster merch, at least a sticker or something lmao.
This is "A loveable cast of characters!" This is awesome! Dad needed a vacation and I'm glad he was able to get out of town.
Fantastic introduction from Dagan. The effort that went into that was not lost on us.
If this episode doesn't make you love the Dagster I don't know what will. Love Constellation and this was the most enjoyable episode so far. What an intro!

Dagster whipped it out, slammed it on the table and really did proclaim he is the best of the best at intro’s holy
The Muffster did a fantastic job hosting the episode!
The Way of Kings is my favorite book of all time. Read it 6 times. Very excited that you’ve started the journey, Matty.
This is our weeb Mt. Rushmore
hahahaaa
YES! 😂😂
Legendary episode! The Muffin Daegster has found his Calling! Stellar Stelly host!
The Daganator, the muffin man, the Dagster. Oh boy!
I've noticed in basically all podcasts, when someone has the floor, the others sort of trail in and out of paying attention. When Dagon spoke of Toriyama, everyone was listening. Really, really well said Dagon.

One day at a time works great for lots of things! I should try the chapter idea as well. 😊
Matty's always working on something else on his computer during every Constellation episode
I want this lineup to talk about Batman the Animated Series & Family Guy.
Great stuff!
It’s a testament to the quality of LSM that when the video started I did a quick check of who was on and thought, “oh this is a good lineup” before even noticing Colin wasn’t even there.
Matty started reading The Way of Kings? Big W.

Honoring every weebs sensei Toriyma right off the rip. Love to see it.
The Dagster rocking the intro!
#LetDaganHost

I kept waiting for Colin's topic only to realize he was never there. Amazing job Dagster!
Didnt know Akira and Im grieving like he was my friend. I guess its because all those series died with him. We will never get an original idea from him and that really sucks. I can see a future/alternate universe where the Dagester does VO intros for all the LMS shows.
Yes. Sweet cast this week
*KAME HAME HAA* :')
Toriyama the God ❤❤❤
The Dagster helming Stelly, it's a brave new world.

Love the Sanderson representation. Can’t wait for Stormlight 5

No locked doors!!! 😂
I remember going to Great America in california, when I was a kid in the 80s. Riding on the demon roller coaster

Let Dagan Host Is Wild 😂
Someone could've told me that Dustin, Matty and Brad are brothers, and I wouldn't second guess that statement.
I worked on a job site by dutch wonderland. There ended up being a huge vein of rock down the middle of the building sight and we had to blast it out. Scared the hell outta them Amish kids
I was not expecting Matty to have the most unhinged stupidest things
Dragon quest 8 is my favorite game of all time, your party members basically go super saiyan with the tension system
Dagan! I'm seeing De La Soul in Chicago in July at Pitchfork Fest (it's small and affordable), come party with me muffin! Finally getting into their stuff now that it is on streaming. Long Live, The Chariot.
Defining Dukie: Matty's Poopie.
Having kids into anime, they know of dragon ball and it's characters but are invested in the newer series, like demon slayer, my hero, ju jutsu, ECT.
We have the children of light on the show
I live right next to Carowinds where that cracked coaster was. I've ridden it many times but that is scary lol great coaster though but not as good as the Intimidator or Top Gun
DAGSTER SUPREMACY!!
Tune in next week for another episode of Daganpod Z!
Dragon ball is my favorite IP of all time, it made me a person. Heartbroken and thankful
Everybody tries the human windmill at least once in the pit
New band name -- Dagster and the weebs.
This was a great episode. I love Colin and his topics. But Dagan did a great job hosting and the guests make all the difference. I get annoyed when Jaffe is on.
Peace from CT.
The Dagster!!! The original Moriarty
Yeah man, forget my Dad and his Dad! Screw those guys! ; )
The Simpsons ride is what replaced the Back to the Future ride which used the same tilting car + screen.
When they talked about dragon ball final bout being terrible, I get it but I still really loved that game. 56:30 Matty, Jujutsu Kaisen is clearly inspired by Bleach. Maybe you haven't seen it.
1:03:55 Frontier Town Justin, I'm a frequent CP goer lol
I would buy a Dagster jacket if they made one
What if, now hear me out, we do the Kaneda jacket with just a 'D' inside the pill? LSM is on it! ; )
@@daganmoriarty1973 I am not against this
Long live the Dagster
Great intro lmao
Muffin Man has taken over!
"Dorf"❤
The Dagster!
Would have loved to see Micah on the Toriyama topic.
Make the dagster the host of this show and rotate the other three!
Knoebels, best amusement park in Pennsylvania
Top Thrill Dagster
I love Colin, but I’m so excited for this episode without him. You can’t take him out of Sacred or Knockback, but I think Constellation needs this shake up.
Let Dagan Host 🤣
It's Peanut Butter Stelly Time
(That one is for you Dustin)
Enjoy your time off from Colin
Drop of doom at my magic mountain you go all the way to the height of the Superman ride in seats and just drops you I’m never doing it again.
Honestly Stelly without Colin every now & then would be refreshing- especially when the line up has him & Jaffe in it. This was just 4 guys reminiscing & staying on topic. Really liked the focus.

Colin should fire Colin cause he is no longer needed!
;)
No offense to Colin but I hope he takes more vacations
Dagster week has been fun. This and the PJ convo
Funny Colin skips the episode about blind spots.
Hahah filled with blind spots
Peanut butter stelly time
Stelly

It’s not that deep they’re just bummed about his death, bozo
@@My_knob So, yes, I am weird. :)
It really is better without Colin.
