1:35 : Awesome toprock. Want it or not, that's a foundation buddy. 1:50 : Headspin. That is a foundation also. 1:52 : BabyFreeze Foundation right here. Want it or not. 2:34 : Toprock. Once again, totally on the beat. 2:45 : 6 step. This is a foundation. 2:46 : CC. Also a foundation. 2:48 : Backshuffle. Not a foundation as is, but a variation of a foundation. 2:50 : Windmill. The first powermove. Also a foundation. 3:33 : Toprock. Great on beat. 3:29 Headspin. Did you say something?
I love the online judges on this page. Winning/losing is determined not only by power but also by other factors like toprocking, footwork, freezes and stuff. Hitting the beats and stuff. I like lil ceng but i like taisuke more, watch his footworks and how he hits the beats haha.
@staypuftOK well you know I totally agree with you! I'm all for style development and originality, I also like powermoves, but powermoves are meant to be done and placed in a set a certain way to put emphasis on dynamics. Powermoves alone loses this emphasis and it becomes very blend and monotonous. In bboying, you cant say anything is more important than another, you cant judge by seperating parts by parts. A bboy's set is a whole itself. You dont judge a house by its bricks, but by its design.
do you know if this is the original track played at the competition? I know that Redbull dubs over it. I'm not sure if they did for 2008. I'm just curious, really.
@fran3ify IDK about comparint any bboy to computers... taisuke has plenty of moves that he's thought of and added variations to. For instance doing jack hammer (hops) to the beat or doing nutcracker variations where he twirls his hands to the music while doing it. If anything, almost every move that Lil Ceng does, many other people can do. On the other hand, if people were to do some combos Taisuke did, that would be considering biting...
@DudeJoost lil Ceng was hitting his musicality pretty well too and... I think overall it was won with swag and creativity on taisuke's part (as well as formidable power that wasn't so easily dismissed by the actual judges of the competition) but both are great bboys and breakdancers man.
@Powermover001 well then, explain to me what real bboyin is? IMO it is not only how you dance, its also your attitude, your creativity and your musicality. for example a couple of bboys that i think are dope are ; kid david, nasty ray, kido, kirill.
I don't even know the first thing about breakdancing, but i absolutely love watching these vids. Can someone tell me the name of the move the guy in red was using? 3:23-3:27
@LilAznOrginization the ideal would be raise on the fingers, but hey it stilll looks amazing neh? it's mainly for looks and also to make you move more on your legs so you have more explosion cuz your legs are more bunched up. i only go fingers on my left hand and flat on right. being double jointed in the thumbs suck when i go finger because i sprain it alot :P
Well, I'm not an B-Boying expert so probably nobody cares bout my opinion. However I really liked Lil Ceng's style. Not because of his headspins and so on, I just belive that he got more heart into this than Taisuke even if he didnt interact as well with the music as Taisuke did...
@Ueruderutsu If this was a tumbling or gymnastics competition then sure, Lil Ceng would have won. But this is dance, and in dance, its about how you interact and interpret the music that counts.
i like both but lil ceng actually looks like he's having fun and doing wat he loves. while taisuke i think takes it a little bit too seriously but anyway they both did a wonderful job :)
@jongsong86 No man, it's my freedom of expression. They're both good, but this time it's my selection. Anyway thanks for your opinion and I respect of that.
@elRampage whoah, r u serious u dont know those bboys? did ever heard of the event called world bboy classic or something called claws out? what are youre favourite bboys then?
Sick battle-ceng has amazing power but taisuke is just way more diverse.....he clearly showed the veiwersthat he can do powermoves but doesn't need to do them at every round! I wanna see taisuke vs lilou...now that a battle-howeve lilou is untouchable and would give taisuke a run for his money!
Exactly and for lil ceng the interpretation of the music is tumbling or gymnastics flow. I think it's not important if your just doing powermoves.. or just styles. I think to find your own interpretation to the music is the key to bboying and dance in generel. I don't understand why everbody hates powerheads and say "oh he just doin powermoves, it's called DANCING and he's not dancing" surely is he dancing but in another way. Just my opinion :) PEace
I agree that personal preference is a problem in judging and that is precisely my point. In this case people will vote for Taisuke just because he did a bit of everything. But look at Taisuke's first set for example, he doesnt even hit the beat, and lil ceng manages to hit the beat with power and that is much harder to do. Furthermore Taisuke's rounds were flat, it felt like he was just executing some moves, he did not feel the music at all and thats very important. look at 1:00 ...
3:43 thanks for the fan lil ceng
Loving this battle... both have mad respect for each other.
1:35 : Awesome toprock. Want it or not, that's a foundation buddy.
1:50 : Headspin. That is a foundation also.
1:52 : BabyFreeze Foundation right here. Want it or not.

3:29 Headspin.
Did you say something?

lol i like this battle bcause you can tell that both lil ceng and taisuke are having fun dancing and all while its still a battle
yeah... maybe you're right. but... powermoves are so hard to do... and lil' ceng does it so well...
Commenting on a video from 13 years ago....man sets were super short back then
best one ever
i think so,too ...
nice one..
Unfair winner. In my opinion sure.
Semifinals это Полуфинал
если внимательно посмотреть предидущие батлы он повторялся много
Why do they always change the fucking music...
I was just about to write the same thing. They can just put a camera on a tripod and walk away, like IBE. They work so hard to screw up their videos.
***** he said music, not the angle of viewing lol...xd

insane!!!! props to both

do you know if this is the original track played at the competition? I know that Redbull dubs over it. I'm not sure if they did for 2008. I'm just curious, really.
They dubbed over the original music? Originally was Organ Donor (Extended Version), I'm pretty sure.
Not sure what the judges were watching.................powermoves 24/7
Taisuke looked cool in matching red
nice
both of them were damn GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
taisuke is the man!
i love his style..
is there anywhere with the original music for this??? otherwise i cant tell how they were judged..
@fran3ify IDK about comparint any bboy to computers... taisuke has plenty of moves that he's thought of and added variations to. For instance doing jack hammer (hops) to the beat or doing nutcracker variations where he twirls his hands to the music while doing it.

how do u even jugde who wins, they're both amazing!
Good base
@Powermover001 well then, explain to me what real bboyin is? IMO it is not only how you dance, its also your attitude, your creativity and your musicality. for example a couple of bboys that i think are dope are ; kid david, nasty ray, kido, kirill.
wow i love lil ceng his style and attitude, my fav bboy.
I don't even know the first thing about breakdancing, but i absolutely love watching these vids. Can someone tell me the name of the move the guy in red was using? 3:23-3:27
What do you call that cool helicopter propeller move that Taisuke does at 3:25? And how do you do it?
well rounded bboy taisuke is
but that a nice friendly bboy battle lil cheng seems laid back
dam, i just love taisuke's second set!!!
well performed by them two imo
@LilAznOrginization the ideal would be raise on the fingers, but hey it stilll looks amazing neh? it's mainly for looks and also to make you move more on your legs so you have more explosion cuz your legs are more bunched up. i only go fingers on my left hand and flat on right. being double jointed in the thumbs suck when i go finger because i sprain it alot :P
@Ch1ris23 nah breakdancing is as it is. Bboying is where the style comes from
they were showin this on mtv
Ok. So if you're in America, how the heck do you find out about these competitions and where would you view them on TV?
black shirt did amazing powermoves that looked impecable but was to repedetive...
red guy was creative and treated dancing like an art,,
@paccplayer11 whao rly from 3 set's he does show footwork(a little) on 1 ....
Just look taisuke Toprock/footwork/powermoves/freeze !
@jsmith53020 This is not the original songs that were in the battle. Music plays a big part to you know?
look at lil ceng's shoes at his last set.
special "flying steps" blinking shoes :D
he turned them on when he did headspin
damnnn taisuke...so creative man his style...ies like some sick as wave no one seems to be able to catch shitt man killed it
yes :'(
@esQo0020 Yes but Taisuke has got the cleanest everything and the best style!!
Well, I'm not an B-Boying expert so probably nobody cares bout my opinion. However I really liked Lil Ceng's style. Not because of his headspins and so on, I just belive that he got more heart into this than Taisuke even if he didnt interact as well with the music as Taisuke did...
Mr. Cheng it's a living helicopter 😂🚁😍

where did you saw foundation at all in this vid by lil ceng ? not even speaking of great foundation
i dont understand how taisuke won. lil ceng's moves are so clean and powerful. Taisuke performed mostly footwork...with flares...
Lil Ceng almost had him at the end there, but MAN, Taisuke was through the roof!!!!
Lil ceng and Taisuke amazing Battle
i like both but lil ceng actually looks like he's having fun and doing wat he loves. while taisuke i think takes it a little bit too seriously but anyway they both did a wonderful job :)
@jongsong86 No man, it's my freedom of expression. They're both good, but this time it's my selection. Anyway thanks for your opinion and I respect of that.

Np, sorry for misunderstanding. Was probably pissed at my own toprock too. Stay fresh bro.
bcoz the style is your originality..
Lil Ceng power verygood
@MrCuongtastisch Lilou just seems to vote for whoever entertained him the most, regardless of crashes, difficulty etc.
3:13 ¡¡¡Fuck yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@DudeJoost i dont know
lil ceng seemed to be a chill dude, they both killed it imo :)
Exactly and for lil ceng the interpretation of the music is tumbling or gymnastics flow. I think it's not important if your just doing powermoves.. or just styles. is there a way to get red bull bc one with the audio from the actual event instead of the lame\boring song.
Hahaha, Lil Ceng was really feeling it. :]
Taisuke, the only man who can make a modern mullet look cool.
