It wasn't a date that was pushed as hard as 1975, for example, but was clearly alluded to through many publications. I'd have to check the scriptures but something in Genesis (I seem to recall) stating that a man's life (or a generation) was 3 score and 10 and then the awareness bit was added.

I put some background visuals to the music that I record with my Smule app. Smule is much like a karaoke app for my phone. I also have a few songs that I have sang and just used my recorder from my phone when I was out for a night doing karaoke. I have uploaded these recordings that I've done to my TH-cam channel and have not been flagged. So the reason I'm sharing this with you is because many people do this on TH-cam. So I'm just wondering if you could find a song such as the R.E.M. song that you wanted to use, with someone who has done a copy of it and possibly use theirs? I'm not sure how all of that can be done under the TH-cam rules, or how things are done in different parts of world. I'm in the States. I also don't know if that is possible with a TH-cam channel that is monetized or not monetized. Maybe you can check into that as a possibility for some of your future episodes. You can use hashtags including the name of the song, smule or even karaoke to find a particular song. You may have already checked into this possibly but I just thought I'd give you this suggestion if you haven't. .

He's talked about his own personal story, but also has a couple of videos about non-standard issues of interest to exJWs. Particularly his latest one. It views like a little 12-minute documentary on what bookstores do with old WT publications. It is educational, surprisingly entertaining, and ultimately, very very moving. If this guy, whose videos are found under the name "Mentally Diseased" keeps this up, he'd be an excellent subject for an interview. He looks to be incredibly talented.

They may...some people tell me yes and others say it's not possible...I ve spent hours on end studying the falsehoods, changed doctrines and baseless claims of the Watchtower..I ve had JW'S over to my house for long discussions(they always leave when they feel like they are being "debated")...I truly don't know...Maybe the GB is so immersed in this cult ,that they do believe it...On the other hand. This religion is BY FAR the most judgmental, discompassionate religion I have ever been associated with. Lett stated that he "would not want to meet many of" us prior to us becoming JW. Time: 10:18-30 I am so disgusted by this constant judging. That is one of the MAIN reasons I left this organization, second only to the abuse that my former congregation permitted to go on (towards my daughter and other children).

I can't tell whether Lett is simple or it's just his baffling personality. I would never want to meet him because I'd wince every time he speaks or use those freaky wide-eyed expressions. He's like faulty version of Kryton on Red Dwarf.
Lett is so ridiculous. I am always struck by how wooden and robotic the JW speakers are. Lett is not robotic but he is a buffoon. His manners, gestures and voice are overdone. I guess his creepiness might keep one from falling asleep but I find him unbearable to listen to. The sing-song cadence is so annoying. Omg. Too much. 😱

Just take some time to look into the greek and hebrew words that the bible was written in and find explanations on why the JW bible is not correct, at least what I did and gave me peace of mind and I now want to read the bible with new eyes
Lloyd---there's a new member to the community making videos now, and I encourage you to take a look at them. He's talked about his own personal story, but also has a couple of videos about non-standard issues of interest to exJWs. Particularly his latest one. It views like a little 12-minute documentary on what bookstores do with old WT publications. It is educational, surprisingly entertaining, and ultimately, very very moving. If this guy, whose videos are found under the name "Mentally Diseased" keeps this up, he'd be an excellent subject for an interview. He looks to be incredibly talented.
Thanks for the referral. I just watched the "bookstore" video and found it very informative. The ending was sad. Seeing all of those old people, who had wasted their lives serving the Watchtower, encouraging young ones to do the same. Pathetic.

The inflection in Lett’s voice is really disturbing. To me, this guy comes across as a desperate used car salesman trying to make a sale. Here's my question and it's a serious one....Does the Governing body actually believe what they say/teach? They may...some people tell me yes and others say it's not possible...I ve spent hours on end studying the falsehoods, changed doctrines and baseless claims of the Watchtower..I ve had JW'S over to my house for long discussions(they always leave when they feel like they are being "debated")...I truly don't know...Maybe the GB is so immersed in this cult ,that they do believe it...On the other hand. I wonder if they just sit up there in their ivory tower knowing they have these naive folks at their disposal who are willing to do anything for "Jehovah"...Do they sit around thinking of ridiculous interpretations knowing it will be passed off as new light...Are they betting or daring each other to see how far they can go and get away with it?...I asked a JW if the GB came out and told you by some flash of light that Jesus was God and was to be worshipped(not likely but they changed their stance on Jesus worship before and anything is possible with this crew) would you leave the organization...He thought hard for a moment and said that he would stay....WHAT???you claim all this proof from the NWT about Jesus not being God and if the GB declares otherwise ,it's ok??? That was the most revealing insight to their mentality...Sad!
Just read your bible and you'll see that it's a garbled up mishmash of conflicting nonsense. There's a reason why there's 10,000+ denominations of one religion. JWs could be forgiven for their ignorance like the rest. They cannot be forgiven their violation of human rights. However, I beg to differ on Losch's sincererity, yes they believe in their own hype which is sad, we all did at one point, but the end game was clear, & you mentioned it too, "it sounds like a cry for people that are leaving to return", and that's their bottom line. So to me, it takes away from the sincerity and it's poorly scripted=manipulative propaganda.
