- Like last year, I made a visit to the Severn Valley Railway in the summer while the railway ran their most intensive public timetable which would see up to 4 steam locomotives and 1 diesel running trains up and down the line between Kidderminster and Bridgnorth. The main aim of the day was to see BR Standard 5MT, 73129 visiting from the Midland Railway for the summer & autumn season.
Locomotives in service -
|BR 4-6-0 5MT Class No 73129
|LMS 2-6-0 4MT Class No 43106 (on the Footplate Experience)
|SR 4-6-2 ‘Battle of Britain’ Class No 34053 ‘Sir Keith Park’
|GWR 2-6-2 ‘45xx’ Class No 4566
|BR Class 50 No 50026 "Indomitable"
Despite the typical british summer weather in the morning which soon cleared away, it was a good day throughout with some great performances seen from the locomotives, looking forward to the Autumn Gala now!

Superb work mate, great to see all the action from the day. Superb filming and love the shot of 4566 powering away at 6:05. Cheers, Jack
Nice scenes at Highley in damp conditions. Indomitable still clagging away nicely I see.
