    These shot are fantastic, I am really impressed at how much details there are in the night time footage and indeed the bridge shot right at the end.

      @@canadianbacn did you have to use the counterweights to balance the smooth 4 when you had the lens and nd filter on? And lastly, did you use a LUT or grade from scratch? I have an iPhone x with the smooth4 and am debating upgrading to the 11 pro, or sticking with the X and buying the anamorphic lens. Just watched the video again, it is super pro and dripping with that cinematic look and feel.

    I just checked the sirui anamorphic lenses for micro for thirds camera's (panasonic GH5 etc.). I remembered this particular video with the Moment smartphone lens from last year and I am still intrigued by it's quality and the quality of your video, though the sirui 50mm and 35mm anamorphic lenses are better quality (better flares, more light, more bokeh). Though this lens is widescreen, and there still isn't a sirui anamorphic lens for wide angle shots...(only a 35mm one). Unfortunately a smartphone isn't comparable to a blackmagic pocket cinema camera...

    Amazing stuff? What settings did you use on your Filmic Pro app? Shutter speed etc, I sometimes have trouble with exposure on dark shots so I would like to know since this video looks amazing. Thank you anyways!

    • @canadianbacn
      @canadianbacn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I shot this mostly at 24fps. By using a shutter speed of 1/48th, I was able get as much light in as possible during the night shots.

    wow this is epic.. I have a question tho. I use iphone x and moment anamorphic lens. how did you get that sharp, clear night shots? did you use any lightning for that?

    • @listednameless
      @listednameless 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Your best bet is to invest $15 into Filmic Pro (a popular, intricate app used by mobile filmmakers and videographers), make sure everything is in 24fps (4K is optional, but highly recommended), lock your white balance circle (the white circle on the screen when you open the app, should turn red when you tap to lock) so that it doesn’t auto-correct, adjust your shutter speed to 1/48, lock by tapping the 1/48, then adjust your ISO until you get the lighting you want. Should come out spectacularly. Hope this helped!
      P.S. Make sure to go into “hardware” and turn on 1.33x in order to desqueeze before shooting. This will adjust the film for you and also add those signature black bars. If you don’t want any distortion (the sides of the video being curved instead of straight), throw that anamorphic lens over the tele iPhone lens instead of the built-in wide lens, then go into “camera” and click on “tele”. Here if you have any questions. Cheers!

    • @canadianbacn
      @canadianbacn  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Eddie, I’d recommend watching some of the videos on the official @Moment channel. An ND filter is an add-on that limits how much light is let in to your camera, and it helps you achieve your desired shutter speed. I shot most of these clips at 24fps, 1/48th shutter speed, and at 4K at 200mps
